thinking about rose fullmetal alchemist 2003 again especially how she takes ed's actively condescending advice (&ed in 03 creates a power vacuum and disruption in liore and doesn't notice or care until the end) and makes it her own, uses it to find power and autonomy when the amestrian gov is actively trying to take it away (both through imperialism &the related sexual violence/forced pregnanc) and especially how ed saying that she's being used by scar is not at all recognizing her strength, resourcefulness, and care for the people around her
