It’s been way way too long. I haven’t died yet, though. I haven’t given up on Rosechu’s Story yet, but there’s still a lot going on.. Until then, I spent a little time to create a sketchy doodle of Professor Cindy Zapbud, who apparently takes over as Cwcville’s Pokemon Professor after Prof. Cole got fired for sucking so much. I’ve also gotten Chris’ blessing to make Sonichu related merch, so who knows, you might see this design on a t-shirt someday?

WIP of the next page time! Also an announcement or two on the state of the tumblr blogs... When I first started this tumblr, I thought it’d be fun to follow back everyone who followed me, but unfortunately a while back I think I hit a limit on how many blogs I could follow. I decided I’m going to be purging the accounts I’m following and start over with it. If you make cute art (especially if it’s Sonichu related) please let me know and I’ll give you a follow.

I think Rosechu's story is a great comic. Not to rush you, but when do you think the next pages will be ready?

So, things have been a bit crazy for me this summer. There’s been some family issues that have been springing up, along with the medical issues I was already dealing with, and needing to move to a new place. I’ve found it’s been really hard to concentrate on anything leading up to this month. Thankfully I have a new apartment secured now, and I’ll be moving properly at the beginning of October.That said, the bad news is that you probably won’t see anything before mid-October at the soonest. Honestly, I think the biggest problem right now is that I’ve lost a lot of passion for the project. It used to be that I was invested enough that I could power through whatever was going on long enough to finish something. It’s not like I want to quit, but it’s been hard revving up those motivation engines so to speak. I’m going to try to find the passion again. That, and I think I’m going to try to be less perfectionist. I really do overthink things, and I’ve tended to spend hours researching something just to make sure a single line of dialog is accurate. It’s stupid, and I need to try to make sure I’m not doing that kind of stuff.Anyway, I know you guys have been super patient, and I love that about you. Even if you don’t think I should, I do apologize for the wait. I do have something you could do if you’d like to help, I would actually love to hear your ideas for the story. I have the ending planned out, but the middle is still very nebulous. I need more ideas to bounce off of, if for nothing more than to get a clearer idea of what’s NOT going to happen.If you’d like to be credited in case I do use your story idea, please include what name you’d like to be credited as or let me know if you don’t want to be credited (it’s Sonichu, I totally understand if you don’t want your name tied to it).

AWWH LAWDY IZZAT A NEW PAGE LAYOUT?!

Why yes, yes it is! I’m finally done making my garbage tumblr page presentable (well, sort of done, I still want to make the background parallax scroll but w/e), and that means I’ll be starting on the next batch of pages next.

For all you guys who are waiting for more pages, thank you so much for your patience. I love you all!

Is that a motherfucking Jojo reference?! Okay I may be a little late on the memes, but I started watching Jojo maybe half a year ago, and this idea has been in the back of my mind ever since. Of course, my stand’s kind of useless. The only thing I can do is give people mild feels, and then I have to recharge for 6 months. 

I named it Sweet Emotion, though. That’s a pretty cool name, I think. Also, if you missed my earlier post, I’m going to be working on the comic webpage graphics next, then another batch of actual comic.

You've been inactive for a little while. Any new material on the way?

I’m sorry that I took so long to respond to this, but I’ve been dealing with some stupid bullshit. As usual, though, I’m an idiot and I never like responding to stuff like this unless I have something to show, and now I finally do and I’ll be posting it shortly!And now that it’s done and I have some lovely brand new avatars, I’m going to be working on some graphics for the tumblr page, and then I’m going to get to work on the next batch of actual comic pages.Again, I’m sorry for these delays, things have been sucking lately with hardware failures and infections and lots of gross stuff. I promise I’ll get things running again just as soon as I can!

We’re about 3 days away from the 24th, and I’m actually doing really well. The three page batch I started after I announced my return is fully written, paneled, and mostly sketched out (I’ve only got a couple panels to go there, though).

That’s most of the real work, though. Unfortunately, the hardest thing about these pages is just getting them started up, the rest is mindless busywork that I can mostly shut my brain off for.

However, it also helps to recycle some things, as you can see above. If I’ve got some panels that are the same character from similar angles, I’ll sketch up the first piece, lightly trace the second, then change it as needed. No sense drawing from scratch if I don’t have to.

Anyway, if things go well, I’ll be scheduling these pages for Feb 26th, Mar 5th, and Mar 12th in addition to the page scheduled for Christian Love Day (which is already finished). This isn't an official announcement (don't want to jinx things), just a projection of where things are looking.

Update Schedule!

Hey everyone! I'm dead tired right now, but I just wanted to pop on and announce that I just finished the rest of the batch. It took longer than I hoped, but I got it done.

So the next two updates will be uploaded at around midnight on the following days:

Sunday March 12th, 2017

Unfortunately, after they're out, it might be a week or two until I finish the next batch, because I'm going to be reshuffling my work area and installing some new equipment for the tablet. Also, I want to work on some banner art for the tumblr site (long overdue) and maybe finish a couple of projects that I had started if I have time. I'll try not to make the wait for the next batch too long.
