I am glued to my bed after my surgery so here's my rant about roseclover

Lustful maniacs and homophobes. They are messed up

I imagine Don growing up filthy rich and spoiled but also having big expectations on his shoulders and siblings with whom he had to compete. He is raised to become an ideal man, a romantic strong charismatic heterosexual guy with a big name. He is set to be a perfect and *normal* man. Which means his abnormal tendencies, like anger issues that turned into sadism, had to be kept locked inside of him

Aran hates sappiness and love in it's natural way. After learning the world of winning fights and pain, he got so hooked up onto it, he thinks he can never get back to the old life. He lives on that adrenaline, thrill to win and feel/inflict pain to know he's alive and kicking. He grows bored and irritated whenever he doesn't get that attention that he wants, a painful one, so discovering how ragebaiting Don ALWAYS gets a reaction from him, made Aran euphoric

They fight a whole lot, but they are very lustful about it and very mean. Even though they indulge in each other, both of them hate the thought of considering themselves gay. Even Aran, that seemed at first indifferent about from who's mouth he gets a spit in his mouth, views being in a loving relationship as a man humiliating. And so, he humiliates Don instead

They never really kiss, Don feels nausesous about even thinking of it, but they do have sex that are halfway being just fights. Even though Don hates Aran's guts to death, he...feels like coming back to him after long periods of time without him. That thrill, the adrenaline, the indulging in those dark pits of him (sadomasochism and homosexuality) that he locked for so many years feels like a drug, and unfortunately for him, Don comes back like a loyal dog back to Aran, acting like he doesn't want it

They both like the passion of fighting, but Don is left very confused after these hookups. The situationship with Aran is way more different than his usual perception of love. He doesn't know what to call their relationship. And Don occasionally tries to bring romance into this, giving gifts and trying being affectionate, but that makes Aran only annoyed and not in a sexy way. He views Don's romantic side as very incredibly boring, which makes Don angry again and repeats the cycle
