Dave and Rose is an angst ship. They are both so deeply traumatised and have absolutely no idea how to even begin to start being serious with each other. And yet they are the only ones who can truly understand each other, the only ones they feel like they can speak openly too. All they need to do is find the bravery inside them to open up. They absolutely love each other but are too afraid of something going wrong to admit it. And I absolutely love that shit.

Davesprite and Rose on the other hand is a tragedy. Davesprite’s Rose is dead, and even if the new Rose has her memories and by all accounts is the same person he will never truly be able to forget his original Rose. Let alone forgive himself for letting her die. Davesprite loves Rose more than anything but he hates himself for it because it makes him feel like he is abandoning his Rose. And Rose remembers that timeline and everything they did together. And the memories of it are so haunting that she wants to forget them but she doesn’t want to forget Davesprite because she too loves him so much even if seeing him makes her remember things she doesn’t want to. And that shit fucking melts my heart.
