You Will Always Be The One || Lily & Rose

Tony was drunk. I mean it wasn't uncommon, he spent most of the time drunk. Lily let out a sigh helping her husband into bed. He was being grabby and she was hoping the alcohol would make him tired opposed to horny or even worse angry. She couldn't do another night of him forcing her to have sex or smacking her around for some ridiculous accusation after another. As he started to succumb to sleep she let out a thankful sigh, backing out of the room and turning out the light.

She sat on the couch letting her head fall into her hands as she tried to hold  back the tears. How had her life taken such a drastic turn? How had she ended up married to someone she didn't like, let alone love. It's not like she had a choice, she had been promised to Tony by her father. It was more of a business transaction than a marriage to be honest. It had brought two of the strongest families in New York together, making her father the most powerful man on the coast. And left Lily completely miserable.

Her mind wandered to Rose as it often did. She could still see her smile, feel her touch if she kept her mind focused. She wanted more than anything to have her here. She had been happy with her, she had been in love. That hadn't mattered to her father though and instead of coming home feeling loved, she came home fearing of what would happen next.

She needed more, she just needed to hear her voice so she would know it was okay. She had pushed the other girl away completely, wanting her to move on and just be happy. And she felt horrible that she couldn't just let go. But...it was only a minute right? She picked up her phone and dialed the number that was even more familiar than her own. It rang for what seemed like forever until she heard the call being answered. Her voice caught in her throat for a moment, but she needed to say something, anything. "Rose, I'm sorry for calling...I just..I needed to hear your voice...," she finished softly her voice wavering.

    {{ ⌛ }} "Rose! There you are, I've been looking all over for you."

The Doctor beamed at her, hands in his pockets, before the smile turned uncertain,. and he tugged on his ear slightly.

"I know you've settled here, you've got a life and.. everything, but er, if you wanted to maybe travel with me now and then.. or.. or something, you could. I mean the TARDIS is all fired up and ready to go. Just thought I'd.. y'know, let you know."
