Reiterating a point made on a post from yesterday.
Yeah, no, I don't think Rosemary is the chief example of Hussie sucking at writing romance. It doesn't come out of nowhere, and the writing honestly isn't bad whatsoever. They mostly suffer from the grandiose scale of the story. Like... If you make these points seriously, as if they are fact, I'm honestly just going to assume you're Lesbophobic or something. Because there's genuinely zero reason to think that.
Hussie sucks at writing romance across the board, so it's unfair to point fingers in general, but it's undeniable that his best work with the subject lies in what he does with the WLW pairings. This is a side effect of them admittedly writing very interesting, compelling female characters... Which is a feat, and something worth advertising, as while that isn't common now, it was even less common back then, especially considering his audience... But I digress. Fascinatingly troubled characters put together often makes for interesting relationship dynamics. Hussie absolutely blew it out of the park with the Sapphic pairings. Those are good on a technical scale. They may not be everyone's cup of tea, because there's nothing on this planet that could ever be considered universally loved, but those pairings are not the first examples that should come to mind when discussing the topic of Hussie's poor romance writing skills.
Stop pointing fingers at Rosemary. You didn't read their Pesterlogs, did you?
