The gem groaned, in irritation of being on this planet, and the sun on her face. She had been sitting there all day, waiting for at least some search party to retrieve her from such a miserable place. “Hello? Homeworld, are you there?” She pulled up her screen and attempted to establish contact, only to be met with an inane amount of static. Figures, this planet had horrible reception thanks to it’s lack of technological advancement.
Raising an arm to block the rays of the sun, she turned her communicator off, and returned to lying in the sand. Trying to damage herself further as little as possible, couldn’t have that gem becoming corrupted now could we? No, that wouldn’t do Peridot any good, and will just make her situation worse to progress.
Then after what seemed to be minutes, a figure came, her eyes having trouble with the blaring sunlight to a point in which she couldn’t discern who or what that figure was. “Did Homeworld send you, are you here to retrieve me?!” She was nearly excited, that is, if this was the truth of the situation, if not, she’d be very, very disappointed. The gem really wanted to be fixed, to make her way back to her planet to recuperate, she needed it.
