Rosewick AU where Ruby's a cop - Getting sent to prison for killing Summer Rose had made him change his view on moral codes. Now, Torchwick lived a simple and honest life in an obscure town after getting out of prison. When a red haired girl moved in next door to him, he fell head over heels for her. Her name was Ruby Xiao Long. At least, that was what she told him.

This is a list of all the AUs that Rosewick can be put into (though if you AU hard enough, anything is possible XD).  PS: You might need to know the background of some of these series. PPS: Can be prompts for fanfics or fanart or, heck, even edits.

Psycho Pass AU

Kougami x Akane Version: Ruby is the new Inspector and Roman is one of the Enforcers assigned to her. Roman used to be an Inspector, but after the murder of his sister/best friend and fellow Inspector Neo, he goes insane, clouding is hue and turning into an Enforcer. He is determined to find Neo’s killer. He helps Ruby as she gets used to her new job, and they eventually form a close bond. As she spends more time with him, Ruby can see Roman’s crazy determination and worries he might go overboard and defy the System she used to believe in.

Ginoza x Akane Version: Ruby will still be the new Inspector in this version, but Roman will be the other Inspector she is working with. Roman won’t be as helpful and most likely just teases Ruby as she tries to get used to the workplace, though he gets serious when the situation calls for it. As both of them and the rest of their team work together to find the person responsible for the rise of criminal activity, Roman slowly loses his way, and it’s up to Ruby to help him keep his hue clear.

Zootopia AU

Ruby is the new police officer recruit, and currently the one being talked about. She graduated early from the police academy and then got recruited into one of the most prestigious police forces in the continent. She values justice and peace above all else, and works very hard to keep the city safe. One of her “just” actions takes it too far, and she almost gets fired. The chief gives her one more chance, but this chance is a challenge. She has to get to the bottom of a series of missing Faunus – a case which no one has a lead on. Along the way, she “enlists” the help of a conman named Roman (and his associate “child” named Neo), and they work together to solve the case.

Hades/Persephone AU

Roman is the god of the underworld. He likes to stay away from the other gods’ discourse and just watching over his realm. The goddess of death, Neo, stays close by his side. He isn’t so alone with her around. However, one day, Roman notices the goddess of spring (Ruby) near one of the entrances to his realm. He watches her warily at first, but day after day, she would come and just enjoy frolicking in the meadow, making flower crowns for her beloved sister, the goddess of harvest (Yang), and Roman would look forward to whenever she came near. He enjoyed seeing her smile. One day, Ruby became curious and walked closer to the entrance, unbeknownst to her. She eventually stumbles upon it and goes in. Roman confronts her and tells her to go. Ruby goes, but she comes back the next day.

Fate AU

Seven mages are chosen to participate in a battle royale in order to win the Holy Grail and have a chance to get their wish granted. Roman is one of these mages. He is a melee fighter, but can also use fire magic. He summons Ruby Rose of the Red Riding Hood (Lancer class), the hero who defeated thousands demonic wolves and saved a whole country. Roman knew that Ruby was going to be a great fighter and would therefore make the War easy, but he didn’t know that she was such a short and childish servant. Maybe it’ll be a challenging fight after all.

Maybe even go into mature territory if you add the “magic circuit recovery” aspect  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

What about a rosewick camping au? I can just imagine that Roman is not at all about nature and hates it the whole time, until ruby just pushes him in a creek

aaaaaand then he hates it more and pouts, but Ruby wraps him in a fluffy blanket and cuddles him and gives him warm coffee and dammit she looks cuter than she should when she’s covered in mud and smells like creek water.

Early morning in the palace was always busier than Roman would have liked it, though he doubted any commoner outside his servitude would have thought so. Having inherited the reigns from his late parents when he was barely over twenty, the young lord found himself tackling new responsibilities at every turn, though his advisers claimed that he was doing a stunning job to that end.

But today...the morning tasks were practically an indulgence of his subjects--he had more than enough knights in his employ, but to forsake the annual tryouts would be to disrupt the ambition of every villager that had their heart set on the title. So Roman entertained the ceremony for the sake of tradition, and with his small court of village chiefs, he sat through countless dull auditions, making noting a chief’s favorite or relative occasionally or persuading a stubborn citizen out of his great hall with the pledge to contact them if they had the chance to receive a knighthood.

Nothing had been particularly interesting--that is, until she stepped into his courtyard. Even before his ascent to the throne, Roman had only ever seen men enter the tournament--most of whom were scrawny, ambitious children or old men who had nothing better to do with their time. It was exceedingly rare for him to see a women at these auditions, and much less one so petite and delicate looking--she was probably only barely of age for courtship. 

Roman watched the girl carefully as she stepped further into his hall, noting the distinct blood red cloak draped over her shoulders and short black hair as an amused smirk played at his lips. “Aren’t you a little young for this audition, Red?” he asked her softly, winning a few quizzical looks from the village chiefs as he waited as he waited for a response from the girl.
