1. How did they meet and fall in love?
Well, I wouldn’t change their meeting in V1C1.
How I believe they would fall in love is after their battle in V3. Instead of Roman being eaten by the Grimm, Ruby would see the Grimm coming and push him away. The Grimm misses. Roman would first be angry, but then sees why Ruby pushed him. Ruby would then convince Roman to stop, and they work together to land the airship. After that, Roman will tag along with Ruby to help stop Cinder, and they slowly fall in love due to their increasing trust.
2. Have a “ship symbol” or something that reminds you of Rosewick?
A pumpkin burning. Not a jack o’ lantern. A pumpkin that is actually on fire. Because this ship hurts me
3. Who cooks? (What food does she/he make? How good is their cooking?)
Ruby is a great baker, but she can’t cook normal meals. She burns them all. Roman is the cook, and he is great.
4. Who says “I love you” more?
Ruby, because she is a very affectionate person. Roman rarely says it, but whenever he does, it’s very sincere and would make Ruby turn as red as her beloved cape.
5. What made you ship this couple?
Well for me, I support and love Rosewick because they are two sides of the same coin.
Ruby is a Huntress-in-training who wants to save and protect people from the dangers and cruelty of the world. She is a person that looks at the world, knows that it’s bad, and decides to be the one to protect it. She is virtuous and has hope for the world.
Roman also sees the world for what it is: cruel and dangerous. However, he does not want to protect it and change it for the better. Instead, he accepts the cruelty of the world, and does what he needs in order to survive. He does not care if he becomes a criminal, the world is terrible anyways.
Their opposite viewpoints make them clash against each other. I believe that this difference will make them confront each other a lot, and maybe learn from each other.
Also, Roman and Ruby are not that different from each other. Both are competent leaders who think well-ahead of the battle and do what they can to win and live. They also are very strong fighters, and can face each other with no problem (if no one interrupts).
Rosewick reminds me of Zutara (from Avatar: The Last Airbender) so much. Zuko and Katara were on different sides at the beginning of the series. However, as the series progressed, we found out that Zuko and Katara were very similar. They both lost their mothers to the Fire Nation, they draw power from the heavenly bodies of the sky (sun and moon), and they had a secret identity made to help the people. However, even with these similarities, they are total opposites. Zuko is fire, while Katara is water. Zuko is anger, while Katara is the calming force (with her motherly nature). Zutara is basically Yin and Yang; they are two sides of the same coin.
And I see Rosewick like that, too. Ruby is the light, while Roman is the dark. Ruby is pure, and Roman is not; he has seen and experienced the world too much to even consider seeing it as anything but cruel. But, as mentioned before, they are similar in some ways.
Even their color schemes describe their relationship. Their secondary colors are black and white, both clashing colors. However, their primary colors are red and orange; both are warm colors, and can symbolize passion. They are opposites, but are still similar.
6. How was their first kiss?
Uhhh… Cute? That’s all I could say.
7. What’s a favorite activity they like to do together?
I honestly think they like to train together. Then, their children would begin rooting for one of them to kick the other’s butt. A peaceful pass time would be just laying on each other and reading (but Ruby would eventually fall asleep).
8. Who’s the jealous type? or Who would win in a fight?
I think they would be equal in a fight. Regarding my answer to #7, one would win depending if one of them is distracted or just outwits the other. In a verbal argument, it would usually start because of their difference in ideas. Like, Roman would want to raise the kids strictly (but not too strict; he just wants them to learn and experience for themselves), and Ruby would want to help them out whenever they need it, maybe even holding their hands all the way, and they both would fight over things like that. They would be stubborn about it, and no one would win. Both of them would eventually apologize though, and come to a compromise.
9. Have a favorite headcanon of Rosewick? Or put a GIF that conveys your feelings towards Rosewick. (#9
This whole Q&A is my headcanon lol XD Another one is that Roman would become a trained Huntsman, and him and Ruby would go on missions together, just like how Tai Yang and Summer used to before she passed away.
And just thinking about Rosewick and all the possibilities make me go
