#its not memory related but eureka did this with a time travel plot#where they just....left the timeline the show had been in for like 5 fucking seasons#and were like 'hope you didnt like any of those characters too much'#'because now they're all entirely different and no we wont ever be going back' Homestuck retcon timeline send ask
no but LISTEN at least homestuck gave some degree of closure with (vriska) and remem8er, and the ghosts were relevant in Collide, and there was a ton of meta bullshit about ultimate selves and shit. whether it actually landed with people or not, an attempt was made to let all that buildup go SOMEWHERE
@scribe-awoken @disgustedorite @sanctferum Thank YOU. Thank you all for going on this journey with me. Thank you for letting me become a part of your lives, for letting me do this goofy thing for a living. Thank you so much for everything.
I had kind of thought that when Steven Universe ended I’d feel like there was a hole in my life, and it does, a little, but instead it feels kind of...complete. The final episode was such a perfect sendoff that I can’t help but feel good about the whole thing. It’s really helping me to move forward with the blog.
I’ve got other shows to do, of course, but I don’t know what else the future will bring. What I do know is that, with all of you walking this road with me, it’s going to be a hell of an adventure. Thank you so, so much.
Calliope's probably considered immortal because she's wearing the life ring? but yeah if rainbow drinkers can't die of natural causes (which isn't confirmed mind you), Karkat and Terezi are the only surviving players who are fully, unconditionally mortal
Oh yeah, fair point. Calliope’s probably actually immortal with that ring on, I hadn’t considered that yet.
I actually wonder how conditionally immortal Candy Dave and Meat Rose still are now, being robots. Do they still have the God Tier “rules” that they can only die a Heroic or Just death, or would destroying the robot be sufficient to kill them seeing as they no longer inhabit their original God Tier body? And is there a difference between the two, because Dave’s essence was actually moved to this new body, while for Rose I believe her consciousness was being projected into the robot body from her original body?
my take is that nanna literally named her son “dad” just to fuck with everybody

what's this about an irredeemable character anyways?
Apparently Rebecca mentioned of a character that will not be redeemed in the new series and people are worried Jasper might be that character, since she's still on the "villain" side in the opening.
I don't think we need to worry tho!
