So… let’s talk about how much is too much when it comes to speculating about a stranger’s personal life.

Obviously, don’t harass or berate anyone online. Don’t over analyze someone’s every move, looking for “clues.” Don’t start rumors on top of other rumors. Don’t dig into anyone’s personal business to get answers. She doesn’t owe us answers!

I think it’s okay to care though. I’m seeing some people express frustrations over the attention being on Taylor’s relationship rather than her accomplishments. Understandable! Taylor’s career has been riddled with these types of rumors, and it’s always prevented people from taking her seriously. But that’s not what’s happening here, and it’s a little bit unfair to ask fans not to care.

Taylor has built her music, career, image, life around love. That’s at the core of everything she creates. For 5 years, we’ve gotten the best and most profound explorations of love from her. We’ve all been inspired by it, and we all know who Taylor has been inspired by. So to be disappointed is understandable too.

Having and discussing thoughts on their potential breakup doesn’t have to take away from her accomplishments. Quite the opposite, actually. Joe has been an integral part of many of those accomplishments, so it seems impossible to talk about one without mentioning the other.

If The News is true, just take it at face value and feel your feelings about it.

So, an odd detail just popped into my head that I noticed about Nelson Tethers.

In the "pictures" of Nelson as a kid, I noticed that he looked like a tiny version of himself. It didn't register until later, but he looked exactly like a kid version of his adult self. Including the fact that he was bald.

Now, in the distant past, a kid being completely bald would be very strange. They would think the kid was sickly, or even "ugly". It's an "undesirable" trait, which makes sense considering the ailments of the era.

So Nelson having no hair is odd. Some could argue that his parents would shave it due to some form of natural problem (like being really difficult to maintain), or that Nelson himself liked it that way, but I think it's more likely that he was naturally bald.

This could either fit into my ideas for Nelson being a Changeling, or it could just be an interesting detail. What do you all think?
