“Perhaps.. Perhaps I was too quick in turning him down...”
You quiet words and the rustle of the book’s pages against the breeze were the only sounds around you and Hyunjin, the two of you cuddled together on the bed as you read aloud to him. Kkami was curled up on one side, nuzzled against you as Hyunjin curled around your other side
“If he asked me again, I think I would say yes...Do you think he’ll ask me again?”
This was a weekly ritual for you- the two of you would get lunch together, and then spend the afternoon with you reading aloud your favourite books to him. He claimed to love your voice, that it was calming and sweet and beautiful, but you were sure it was just an excuse for cuddling.
“I know that I care more to be loved, I want to be loved.”
Hyunjin’s arm twined around your waist, scooting closer to you as he laid his head on your shoulder, his hair tickling your neck. He peered down onto the pages of the book, following the words as you read them.
“I’m sick of being told that love is all a woman is fit for. But.... I am so lonely.”
(I know this isn’t actual book dialogue, but this scene in the movie blew me away SO I HAD TO-)
