All the good girls go to hell
Pairing: Roslin Frey x Edmure Tully
Rated: T
Summary: Roslin was a good girl, perhaps the only good girl between the dozens of children fathered by billionaire entrepreneur Walder Frey during his eight marriages. Good girls didn’t try to seduce PhD students who were the family of school friends. But then she was wearing devil ears tonight.

Soulmates Tattoo Drabbles (Roslin/Edmure)
These drabbles are going to be based off this au. I’m going to be writing a few from ASIOAF, The Walking Dead, Pacific Rim, and Attack on Titan. For now, these will probably be more ASIOAF, but who knows. Pairings will vary and some I might continue for a second part. I want to thank the person that came up with this brilliant and addictive idea. You’re amazing! (Two things: one, this is the first one of these that is NOT a modern au; and two, this is the first time I've written Roslin/Edmure and I'm so glad it was this one.)
soulmates drabbles bait for a fish
You are a delight to me, my lady.
Roslin pressed her face into her hands, willing herself not to break down into sobs, but tears slipped out of her eyes and down her cheeks and palms of her hands. The words tattooed in a flowing script on her hip made her feel like she was floating on air – but also like she would be dragged down underneath at any given moment. This wasn’t a sign of freedom. This wasn’t a gift.
It was a curse – it was her curse – and she would bear its mark for the rest of her life.
Girls all over Westeros dreamed about this day, the morning they woke up on their eighteenth birthday with their soulmate’s first words to them written on their body. It felt more like a warning sign to Roslin. This was her fate. She had no way of escaping it.
After all, she was going to be married in two days’ time, but there was little to no chance that the man she was being forced to marry would be her beloved dream come true. She knew next to nothing about Edmure Tully, save for the fact that he was now Lord of Riverrun after his father’s passing. That had a nice ring to it and all, but the Lady of Riverrun had a bitter aftertaste to it when she was supposed to have been Queen in the North.
Not that Roslin cared. She didn’t care about any of that – not the fact that Robb Stark had dishonored his treaty with her lord father; not the fact that Lord Stark had taken another girl’s maidenhead and married her in turn instead of Roslin; not the fact that some random girl from the west had taken her spot as queen; not even that she was being forced to marry a man whose entire name and castle and everything was about to be taken from him, leaving her destitute alongside him.
None of that mattered in the end, not anymore. There was nothing to be done about it. Roslin had learned from a very early age that holding grudges would get her nowhere in life. She had too many spiteful and vengeful family members for that. They held enough grudges to last her many lifetimes. While they fought and bickered with one another, while they hurt and snapped at each other, she stayed back and tended to the wounded. Her father called her weak, her siblings shook their heads at her, her uncles called her pathetic, her aunts snipped at her, and her cousins sneered at her. The Freys had little room for kindness when there so much family to hold in one castle. It was either spread too thin between them or there had only been enough gentleness in their family to give to one person.
What Roslin truly cared about was the fact that she would likely meet her soulmate and never be allowed to be with them. After all that she had done for her family – after all that she would sacrifice for them, literally giving herself up like a sacrificial lamb to the slaughter, being the bait to trap and destroy their enemies and therefore ruining herself in the process – she would be alone in this world. She would be given nothing in return.
Edmure/Roslin 50 or 68.
50 - Grieving Part of Drabbleverse.
How do you tell your grieving girlfriend that you hated her father?
Like, not the sort of passive hate that you have for the idiots who tried to shove your head down a toilet in middle school, the kind of casual hate that is such a part of your being that you hardly notice it anymore—a real hate, deep and burning down in the very pit of your belly, that threatened to make the bile rise in your throat at the very mention of his name.
Probably not at his funeral, right? That would be poor form, right? You couldn’t just say “I am glad the manipulative fucker is dead,” as much as he would have happily screamed it from the top of your lungs.
Roslin was dressed in black and her face was subdued as Edmure helped her out of the car. She held his hand tightly as they crossed the parking lot and made their way towards the church. He didn’t ask her if she was all right—he knew better than to do that today of all days. Today was the one day since her mother had died that it was acceptable to be not ok. Her eyes were red and her lower lop was trembling and god, she was trying so hard to be strong, to keep everything hidden away. But he knew. Edmure always knew.
Funny. The one thing that could make him sad that Walder Frey had died was seeing Roslin upset.
Edmure x Roslin!
Who would be the big spoon?: Hmm, I’m inclined to say neither, I think they’d both sleep on their backs, though if it is one it’s Edmure.
Who would wake up first?: Edmure. The Tullys are morning people.
Do they have nicknames for each other?: Roslin calls him Eddy, Edmure calls her all sorts of pet names.
What happened when they met each other’s parents?: Edmure does not like Walder at all and they hardly ever talked; Roslin was super nervous but everybody liked her.
How do they apologise after an argument?: Edmure begs forgiveness; Roslin sort of tentatively says sorry and then tries to make up for it.
What would they be like as parents?: Wonderful. They’re both extremely nurturing and attentive. Roslin’s sweet and Edmure’s fun with them. Neither are very strict though.
Who is the better cook?: Roslin. Both are decent though.
Who is more romantic?: Oh both oh my gosh.
What sort of gifts do they get for each other?: They tend not to get gifts; they go on trips instead (they love traveling together.
Who gets jealous easiest?: Roslin just a little bit though neither is a terrible jealous person.
Who gets more excited for events e.g.. Birthdays, Christmas?: Edmure, who’s basically just a little kid about holidays.
Who is the most adventurous?: Edmure who loves rock climbing, sports, etc.
Who is the most protective?: Ummmm both of them are pretty protective but Edmure probably a bit more.
What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?: ADORABLE. Like they would be the kids that get together in fourth grade and stay together forever.
*BONUS: Song to sum them up?: I literally can’t with songs
