Charlotte is fourteen when she begins her Templar training. She’s too old and she’s too behind. She’s the second daughter of a farmer from the ass-end of nowhere; she hasn’t money and she hasn’t a family name worth knowing. There’s no reason for her to be here. She towers over the other recruits and tells herself not to hunch, that bad posture won’t improve her swordwork.

Mia sends letters weekly, though they sometimes arrive in batches of two-three-four depending on the weather. Charlotte sends back maybe one in three, when she can find the time and the space to do anything without someone looking over her shoulder.

Don’t tell Ma, Charlotte writes that Bloomingtide, but I cut off my hair. It keeps getting caught in my cuirass.

Would she not prefer the priesthood? she is asked, time and again, as though her hands are more worthy of the show of offertory than actual bloodshed, as if women may only cultivate faith instead of defend it. She smiles and refuses, smiles and grits her teeth, smiles until she bares her teeth with every blow she gives or gets.

Char, the others begin to call her, with annoyance and respect and fear and pride. Char and Charl and Loz instead of Rutherford, and by the time she turns fifteen there is no talk of the priesthood.

Yeah it is just for teen him, but it still offers another alternative for people to imagine when thinking about the character. And its nice we will get some grindeldore scenes without Depp, which I was not expecting. I just want a few more people than there currently are to think of Grindelwald outside of Depp, if that make sense? Idk this is complicated lol

I struggled so much with this one! Peter is a really complex character on a good day but going through his psychological evolution from his own pov was a damn nightmare. Because sane or not, he’s scarily intelligent and sometimes I feel like in the show they thought… hmm, what’s the most evil thing someone can do in this situation? Let’s make Peter do it even tho it makes no sense at all! I nearly tossed it away and thought about writing something else for the prompt tbh, it was that bad. Happy that my suffering paid off! :)
