Lining done on the skyscraper cape. However, that was the easiest part. I'll need to be very cautious with the shell, + ironing :[ then of course detailing
But one part is done! I have greater confidence I can sew the pattern cleanly on the shell fabric.
It took three proofs to get HWC v3 just right 🥴 first one had too much magenta and banding issues, second was a bit too dark. I was hoping to get the full order by today and start shipping to artists start of next week. Glad it's finally figured out and I have three free proofs now haha
they got some new clamps at the workshop which has increased the amount of pieces I can glue + clamp + let set at once. Epic. Haters see me with my fifteen clamps and seethe.
last update for today. some of the plywood is acquired. the build is incomplete as concept bytes is still working on it, but I think i can cut out, sand + partially glue the feet tomorrow. i also need to figure out if i need to make custom axels (possible but would mean more time and greater error of messing up) or if i could order them. will talk more w the makerspace tomorrow
ow. my wallet. and i haven't even gotten the truly expensive stuff yet. bought most of the bearings and screws, and about to go grab the plywood (first store didn't have it). the robotics stuff is expensive online but i might be able to get cheaper thanks to having a electrical engineering university in town
