Light pollution from the city no longer felt like an obstruction when you stood in your silent neighborhood, now in front of your garage; you were glad to see the stars at their full potential, lighting up the sky one-by-one in full view. You were dropped off at your place by none other than Bumblebee, always spending the last few minutes of the day spent together either gazing at the stars or having late-night talks; it's become routine at this point. A few moments to unwind in comfortable silence has always been a highlight, the two of you just enjoying each other's presence even while there are no words exchanged.

Tonight, you thought this to be another wordless soon-to-be goodbye.

Your eyes stayed fixated on the countless stars, your irises shifting ever so slightly to every new one you found, it really did feel endless.

Bumblebee's optics stayed fixated on you, the same fascination.

Some of the stars looked to be a lot rounder than a few others, a lot more noticeable than the typical shapeless glimmer. Your mind wandered, maybe it was a planet you had the privilege of being able to see with your naked eye. It doesn't make any of the surrounding stars any less special--no--it's just appreciation for a different kind of beauty. Alternatively, you remember reading somewhere that the stars you see in the sky in the present are actually impressions of what they looked like thousands of years ago, and that those stars probably don't exist anymore. It's strangely beautiful to catch a glimpse of a sight of 10,000 years ago, even if its bittersweet to know that these stars truly are gone now. You wondered, almost laughing to yourself, at the thought of if the autobots began their journey to Earth in the 9th millennium BC and only landed now in the 21st century.

Bumblebee stayed fascinated, not at the stars as he's done on other nights, but on you. Your eyes slightly widened in wonder, shifting in constant activity as you take in as much as you can of the night sky. He looked upon you in silent admiration, optics softening in a pale-blue glow. Really, he was doing the same thing you were doing, only he was appreciating his own different kind of beauty.

Bee couldn't help it.

"..Krrsh.. -- You look pretty.."

You snapped out of your stargazing, turning to face the mech, clueless. "Sorry, what was that?"

Bee gave a surprised whir and scrambled back to his full height, alarmed at his radio unintentionally exposing him outright. He bumped the lower plating on his chassis over and over with a fist to get himself to shut it.

Unfortunately, even with every hit he gave to his chest, his radio kept going.

"Zrt! -- Uhh-" Hit.

"-- I said-" Hit hit.

"-- You look shitty! -- Kzrt!" He winced.

Bee backed away quick, panicked whirs and mechanical trills filling the air. "Goodnight, Denise!" He gave a swift two-finger salute and bailed, quickly transforming back into the Camaro and speeding away, tires screeching as he did. 

You stood there, completely stunned; the only thing you could hear were the night crickets and Bee's roaring engine, gradually getting quieter the farther he drove away.

The smile that crept up to your face couldn't be helped. You shook your head to yourself, heading inside to your house as the smile never went away.

You may have not heard the first thing he said in the moment, but you sure did recognize the sound-bite the longer he kept talking.

Bumblebee really did call you pretty.

The electric jump you felt in your stomach couldn't be helped.

-hes in denial at first

-he did not expect to like someone that is a completely different species from him

-still acts the same around you, but you noticed that he was hanging around you more often

-whenever you guys are talking he would definitely be more shy or playful

-if I'm being honest I don't think he would confess right away.

-don't get me wrong he really wants too but he does not know if you'll like him back (bc he's literally a robot) and he doesn't know if Optimus would approve

-if he does talk to Optimus about it, eventually Optimus would be okay with it. at first Optimus did not approve because "they aren't planning on staying on earth for any longer" or "it won't work out."

-eventually if you prove your loyalty and earn his respect to the autobots he would be fine with it.

-he does not want to put you in danger

-during the fight with scourge he always kept a close eye on you to make sure you are okay

-if he does confess he would take you somewhere private and quiet.

-he just wants to enjoy your presence

-you can tell something is up by the way he avoids eye contact and struggles to say the right words, switching back and forth on the radio

-he decides to play ur favorite love song then uses a line from it.

-if u don't understand he will have to be more direct and just use a confession quote from a movie

-he's totally nervous while doing this and hopes you will say yes. but whatever happens is up to u

Could I request something where both mirage and bee have a crush on Noah’s friend who is reader. She thinks of them as close friends. 🫶🫶keep up the great work!

I’ve gotta stop writing Bee where I only use song lyrics and movie quotes from that era. ‘Cus I know he can use clips to make his own sentences and it would be so much easier but idk there’s a certain charm in it.

Mirage x Reader - Bumblebee x Reader

“The girl is mine,” Bee played through the radio.

“Oh hell no, you’re trippin’ dude,” Mirage scoffed back. “I don’t think you’re her type anyway. Too cutesy,” he sneered.

Ever since Noah had introduced you, the two mechs were smitten. Mirage didn’t try to hide it at all, being flirty from the beginning, and it infuriated Bee. He was so disrespectful and somebody needed to put Mirage in his place. Bee figured the best way to do that was stealing ‘his’ girl. He was infatuated with you anyway, so it was a great idea, that was until Mirage figured it out.

Bee’s brow furrowed, aggravated by Mirage’s arrogance, “I’m gonna knock you out,” he threatened.

“Hah! I’d like to see you try,” Mirage spat, and Bee took a step forward, angrily staring at the other mech. “If anything, you’d be the one going down.”

Bumblebee knew that wasn’t going to happen. Bee wasn’t much taller than Mirage, but he was broader and knew how to fight well, so if Mirage wanted a fight, he’d get it. Bee backed up and gave a ‘come here’ motion with both his servos out, taunting Mirage. When Mirage just glared at him, the yellow mech threw one of his own plays back at him, flipping Mirage off.

“That’s it!” Mirage furiously growled and came after Bee, throwing a rough punch at him, but Bumblebee ducked and stepped to the side before bouncing back out of Mirage’s reach.

“I’m still standing,” Bee chimed, and Mirage knew if the yellow bot could, he’d be sporting the most self satisfied grin right now.

“Oh, fuck you,” Mirage hissed.

“Uh, guys?” they both froze and turned in unison at the sound of your voice.

“Hey,” Mirage tried to be smooth in his greeting, hoping to play it off like nothing happened, “Wasn’t expecting you to show up around here.”

“Yeah, and I wasn’t expecting to walk into a fistfight.”

“Nah, nah, it was only a little roughhousing,” Mirage tried to assure you, and Bee eagerly nodded in the background.

“Ooo-” you cringed, “I almost would have believed you if I hadn’t heard you talking earlier.”

“You heard all that?” Mirage was not hiding his embarrassment well.

“Mm-hmm,” you nodded, “Now I’m sad I interrupted though, I kinda like the idea of two men fighting for my affections.”

Bee buzzed out a laugh, and Mirage waved him off, telling him to shut up.

“It’s a little bit funny,” Bee retorted.

Mirage grumbled something under his breath, glaring at Bumblebee.

“Aw, now Mirage, don’t be like that,” you teased. “It was only a little roughhousing, right?” you arched a brow and gave him a sly smile.

Mirage rolled his optics and sighed, “Yeah, yeah, roughhousing…”

“C’mon you two, there’s more important things to do,” you said, throwing them both a wink and walking out of the room.

Mirage and Bee stood side by side and glanced at each other.

“We’ll pick this back up later,” Mirage whispered to Bee. 

Bee responded by elbowing him in the stomach before running to catch up and follow you out of the room. Why pick it up later, when he could just go after you now?
