ROTCIV - Your Highness (Das Komplex Remix) by Luv Shack Records Get it here: https://ift.tt/33OXTWS The dynamic duo of ROTCIV and Das Komplex are back on Luv Shack Records to finish off what they started with the "Magic Silk #1 EP" in 2019. Das Komplex' "Jak Mozna Nie Mówic O Pesymizmie" (wich translates to "how can you not speak about pessimism") is boasting with psychedelic effects, polish spoken words and a plethora of funky disco tropes, all cumlinating in a 10 minute super disco jam. Hot on the heels come two ROTCIV remixes of Das Komplex' "Silk" from the first Magic Silk EP. The "Electric Dub" is a broken electro workout with a tight industrial beat, lush synth patterns, dubbed out percussions and an array of weird FX. The "Transmix" comes with a driving 4tothefloor groove and an italo-esqe synth bassline at the heart of the mix, while still maintaining the pittoresqe atmosphere of the original with layers of heavily mangled effects. On "Space Explore", ROTCIV constructs a complex slow burner, setting up an eerie atmosphere of digital soundbytes, vocal snippets, ghostly strings and fat synth pads on top of a cosmic disco groove. Lastly, Das Komplex remixes "Your Highness", adding a classic disco groove with lots of analog percussion, funky guitars and a quirky synth bass-sequence, creating instant euro-disco nostalgia. Drive - Dance To The Beat (Discobox Records)

The London-via-Switzerland producer by the name of Drive is the talent behind this latest release on Discobox Records … it's a feel-good throwback tune by the name of "Dance To The Beat". With Prince and Chic noted as major influences, and a past performing and DJ'ing in hip hop bands, Drive knows a thing or two about laying down the funk in a dance floor fashion. "Dance To The Beat" features Drive's live guitar, some boogie-inspiring vocals, and a solid, organic deep house rhythm all mixed together in a sleek production that recalls some of the best moments in late '80s dance music.Rotciv (Mister Mistery, Luv Shack) is another multi-national producer -- this time Berlin-via-Brazil -- and he's on hand to deliver the first remix of "Dance To The Beat". He switches out the vocals, drums, and bass line for a blindingly effective late night club rocker. It's always party time at Rotciv's house, no question about that. Rounding out the package is Discobox's resident duo Shake Machine who construct a slinky concoction, only retaining the original vocal … though even that gets twisted a tad. Staccato synth pads, groovy rhythms, and a filtered bass line take this one directly into the space disco. These beats are tailor-made for dancing.
