Estelle mumbled as she dragged her feet to her room. What comfortable air finally turned chilly for the Summer night. She dreaded the sun to come. At the very least, she had a good four hours to wait. With a yawn, she knew it was time to relax as she needed to. Her arms carried a light, hand sewn blanket. In one hand, though, a hot chocolate.
Turning the corner, she tossed the blanket onto the bed and went to complete her ritual of changing. It was more than an easy going night. She only cared for a baggy shirt, just enough to use the blanket on her legs. All the while, she kept hold of her drink. Little sips here and there, but it would be enough. Finally setting it down on a small table on the bedside, she moved to the window and pushed it open with slight force. How old the wood was... She didn't want to replace an inch on this home, but time might come to where something might need to be renewed.
The night drew in close, sky lit up with far off stars and spaced with clouds that would hide the moon. Sometimes, she felt like it was just for her. Tracing the window with her fingers, she remembered that this was the same sill that she peeked in to find the first one to see the Guardian. The blonde smiled, unable to resist a laugh. The echoes and traces of sound were growing from night to morn. With the soft textures in her voice, it would have sounded like a whisper when she spoke.
"Starlight.. Star bright. First star I see tonight. I wish I may. I wish I might." Estele paused, still doubting an ability to make her own wishes come true.. Let alone heard or seen by anyone except for the Sandman. A small light came to her index finger, and she let it float up before it dimmed and faded. Such things put her close to a similar mood of depression. Maybe lost? Yes, lost. Out of all the stars in the sky, what made her special enough to be included?
