I discovered the Rotor Force and the fact that two of them are have a connection to Tracks today and... I needed to quickly draw them interacting as humans. Apparently, in a crossword, it's implied that Leadfoot/Hot Foot and Manta Ray/Piranha/MarineMaster are brothers. So they get to be brothers.

... I don't know how I plan to fully connect them to Tracks. TFwiki jokes about Manta Ray being the vice president of the Grimlock fanclub (in Generation Two comics, he earns praise from the lead dinobot) and TTB!Grimlock was a pro-wrestler before an injury took him out... So my human!Manta Ray can be a pro-wrestling fan and also a fan of Road Rage.

The Rotor Force is interesting as they're cross-factional. Leadfoot and Manta Ray, depending on the comics, start out as Decepticons and switch to the Autobots or are Autobots (and sometimes Leadfoot gets to be a Wrecker) while Powerdrive and Ransack are always Decepticons.

As Leadfoot is going to be a NASCAR driver/racer, I think I'll have the full team be the race crew...

So I've drawn Leadfoot/Leslie and Manta Ray/Mitchell, so now here's Ransack/Rory! Like the other two, more info will come in the future.

As for a quick basic: he's a guy that can keep a cool head in most situations (have to when you work as part of a pit crew), but fully knows how to get serious.

I was thinking about my under-loved Rotor Force boys, Leadfoot and Manta Ray. Or Leslie Teague and Mitchell Teague.

As I've been listening to Old Gods of Appalachia again, I decided to make these boys from North Carolina. And quite aware of the history of mining, labor strikes, and unions in those mountains.

Notes: Ransack shares his name with the deluxe Insecticon grasshopper (among others) from the first generation of Transformers. He briefly came with black rotors. The switch to red rotors happened soon after the initial release. Also, it's a good thing Hasbro packed two rotors as they fly very well and very far.
