A sketch
The saga of the black Rotring 600 continues. Implanted a modified TWSBI 580 feed with generic Germany iridium point nib. Best repair so far on this guy.
My darling, the Rotring 600 fountain pen with EF nib. The steel nib is rough, but is fitting in a brutal pen like this. The 600 series was, as far as I know, meant to be a medium-low tool for draughtsmen and architects but increased in value and desirability after the market disappeared with the advent of computer technology for those fields. I just adore the esthetic. I'd prefer the deeper knurling of the previous generation but it's somewhat rare to find as is so I just love what I have rather than what I want. Some family members also pictured- the recent 2mm and early-recent Japanese 0.5.

Not everyone shares this opinion, not even everyone in my household, but I think gel refills are so much nicer than ballpoint refills. My holbein x Rotring 600 3 in 1 came with ballpoint refills, so it was a prime candidate for an upgrade: replacing the ballpoint refills with gel or hybrid refills.
