The reason why Nurgle followers are mostly cheerful and devoted is because they’ve fallen into total despair and then gone mad with the love of their god. That lore worth pondering deeply.

And even so, they’ll say things like, “No point in risking your life for a moment’s pleasure,” to Slaanesh followers, and they’ll passionately rebel against Death factions like, “Life is something that’s meant to cycle!!”

I love that they act like masochists who follow a code — even though they’re not actually masochists.

In fact, Nurgle followers aren’t masochists at all. If anything, they believe in love so intensely that they’ve ended up in this weird, sterile sort of purity. That’s what I love about them.

I bought Nugle's latest Battle Tomes for moe purposes, but it was like being clawed at by hunger, scratched and scraped. Seriously, I already know that info—skip the statements from people who don't know...! I found myself thinking that way way too often. There's also not much new artwork. What's more, it includes rough sketches that are already publicly available on Pixiv Fanbox. Still, Festus's overly provocative phrasing was good.

Anyway, these are my impressions after reading the Japanese version. Maybe reading the English version will reveal different nuances? For now, Festus's ageplay-esque text and Orghotts's grief were pretty great.

The reason Nurgle's story resonates with us is that his followers genuinely believe “Nurgle is salvation and love.” Because of this, readers untouched by infection can root for them as they surrender everything to the Great One.

The story of Nurgle's followers ideologically opposing the curse of death is moving, yet they may inflict fates more dreadful than death upon all living things. Still, simply seeing Nurgle's followers stand tall, utterly convinced this is the best way to repay their god and the world, makes Readers including myself feel happy and satisfied. In other words, they're cunning.

If you think about it, Bloab Rotspawned were once strong warriors before flies ate all of their insides and they became Nurgle's kin, so wouldn't it be strange if their skin didn't have the rugged build of a warrior? Strictly speaking, wouldn't it be more accurate to describe He as having maggots forced into His toned abs, making them bloated?
