After the Rain Barguest
I drew a scene featuring Tatsuya and the heroes from Episode 3 of “sentenced to be a hero.” I've made a few minor adjustments to the version I posted on Reddit.
I bought Nugle's latest Battle Tomes for moe purposes, but it was like being clawed at by hunger, scratched and scraped. Seriously, I already know that info—skip the statements from people who don't know...! I found myself thinking that way way too often. There's also not much new artwork. What's more, it includes rough sketches that are already publicly available on Pixiv Fanbox. Still, Festus's overly provocative phrasing was good.
Anyway, these are my impressions after reading the Japanese version. Maybe reading the English version will reveal different nuances? For now, Festus's ageplay-esque text and Orghotts's grief were pretty great.
(I'm reposting with comments. Thank you to everyone who responded.)
This is fan art I posted on my old account. It's an EoE illustration, but it pays homage to the manga version drawn by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.
The Eva mass-production units were created for humanity's (SEELE's) true wish, right? So I think there's a positive meaning to their wreckage being in the same place Shinji wished to be with everyone again.
Yui said Eva would never truly disappear. If that represents humanity's hope, couldn't the mass-produced Evas also be seen as hope? Because their faces were eroded away, leaving only their bodies, they've become beings capable of embodying anyone's wish. Their form resonates with a message like, “I'll reclaim my own form. Even if I borrow someone else's words, even if I'm taken over.”

The reason Nurgle's story resonates with us is that his followers genuinely believe “Nurgle is salvation and love.” Because of this, readers untouched by infection can root for them as they surrender everything to the Great One.
The story of Nurgle's followers ideologically opposing the curse of death is moving, yet they may inflict fates more dreadful than death upon all living things. Still, simply seeing Nurgle's followers stand tall, utterly convinced this is the best way to repay their god and the world, makes Readers including myself feel happy and satisfied. In other words, they're cunning.
If you think about it, Bloab Rotspawned were once strong warriors before flies ate all of their insides and they became Nurgle's kin, so wouldn't it be strange if their skin didn't have the rugged build of a warrior? Strictly speaking, wouldn't it be more accurate to describe He as having maggots forced into His toned abs, making them bloated?
I hate myself for thinking things like that 😡
I drew this and posted it on pixiv. I like big breasts and thick thighs.
2025 was kind of hot garbage circumstantially speaking so here's some fanart of my fave hot garbage faction to appease the gods of 2026.
As a priest-king of Rot listens to a plea from local peasants, an entourage attends to their master's ritual paints and record-keeping.
Cronos parasite engine Painting completed!
It's been a while since I last posted a wip here, but with the help of a local hobby shop, I've finally finished it! Thank you to everyone who responded to the wip!
I was born in a country where miniature painting wasn't popular, so I painted without really knowing the different styles and classifications… I aimed for creatures from "Silent Hill." I wanted them to feel alive, not like corpses.
Technically, I drew inspiration from Japanese realistic garage kits and tank plastic models. I really wanted to incorporate charred pipes and rain streaks. As a result, I think the finished piece ended up looking quite unusual for a Warhammer build. I wonder how it will appear to everyone else.
Building a base means you can't peek underneath anymore—just kidding! But I have a vision, so I'm exploring how to make it happen across a wide range of genres! I don't know when it'll be ready, but I'll post an update when I can. Thanks for watching!
I get why people would fall to worshipping Slaanesh or or Khorne. But why the hell does anybody follow Nurgle?
Believe in Khorne and confront hardship with force. Or seek the exquisite pleasure brought by Slaanesh. Along with the magic and flashes of cunning granted by Tzeentch, it is the hope of obtaining these things, the belief that they can be attained, that makes one a follower. The path to becoming a follower of Nurgle begins when one realizes that the power to desire such glory no longer remains within them.
Those clinging to hope summon nurgle's demons from the warp seeking salvation, but this is a foolish mistake. Those who walk the path of nurgle's followers first acknowledge that there is no salvation in anything. They preach this truth.
Therefore, the path of believing in nurgle is truly for those who have come to realize they possess neither hope nor possibility. It is healthier not to understand the reason.
The reason why Nurgle followers are mostly cheerful and devoted is because they’ve fallen into total despair and then gone mad with the love of their god. That lore worth pondering deeply.
And even so, they’ll say things like, “No point in risking your life for a moment’s pleasure,” to Slaanesh followers, and they’ll passionately rebel against Death factions like, “Life is something that’s meant to cycle!!”
I love that they act like masochists who follow a code — even though they’re not actually masochists.
In fact, Nurgle followers aren’t masochists at all. If anything, they believe in love so intensely that they’ve ended up in this weird, sterile sort of purity. That’s what I love about them.
Grumbling about AoS Nurgle with Google Translate
I've seriously gotten back into Warhammer, but honestly, I don't know what to do. How should I talk about Nurgle?
I've decided that Nurgle's advocacy of salvation, belonging, and peace is founded on inaction, futility, and resignation. The divine work of blessings also brings disaster, creating atrocities mocked as vicious parodies of life. The path of Nurgle's followers opens up once they accept this with complete despair. Cheerful demons believe he is their savior, while sullen souls labor to meet quotas they'll never achieve. Officially, this is a parody of humans' attempts to impose order on chaos. It's vicious.
Human soldiers are even more pitiful. From renowned warriors to ordinary soldiers, Nurgle provides them with a cradle for their delusions. It's not that Nurgle has taken everything from them; rather, they give up everything and then re-evaluate their perception of it as the path Nurgle has laid out for them.
In the main story, there are those who loathe Nurgle, but no one challenges the god's ideology or the beliefs of his followers. Instead, Nurgle targets the lush greenery and overflowing life of Ghyran. Faced with true abundance, Nurgle's followers don't say, "Our gardens are prettier, so it doesn't matter," but "hate beauty." This is precisely because they are conscious of a vague sense of resignation, trapped in a dark joke that they cannot even reflect on. However, since they were the ones who let go, even Nurgle cannot blame them. Is this spitting in the air? What I love about Nurgle is that, even though they are bound by that vicious joke, they still cannot stop acting cheerful and engaging in pointless work.
