I think One would find some comfort in Rad’s presence. He doesn’t trust easily, so I think it would take some time (especially with so many versions of him and his brothers around holy fuck). But I think there’s an unspoken understanding from One to Rad that, “oh, you’re like me, you get it” even if he doesn’t know how exactly he knows that.

Hey guys I want opinions that may or may not be disregarded in the future

So the Rise turtles have teeth which is crazy because real turtles. Uh. Do not. Like they just have their beaks. It’s wild. But the Rise turtles have teeth, so I have to figure this out

So turtles evolved from crocodylians (same as dinosaurs!) and they have this funny thing where they continually regrow new rows of teeth. So when they lose one, another is already primed to take its place. No upper limit on this, from what I’m seeing. I’m thinking Draxum could have seen this as a benefit for his perfect supersoldiers, and maybe reactivated the genes to allow the turtles to do that

But the rub is that the turtles ALSO have human DNA from Hamato Yoshi, and humans regrow their teeth once. Like ever. Like when you lose your adult teeth then that’s it. No more. And their teeth certainly look more human than crocodylian

So I’m leaving this one up to Tumblr!

Lab Rat’s Sons is a Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles AU exploring the idea of what would happen if the turtles were found by the government instead of being rescued by Splinter. In this AU, Draxum’s lab explosion causes a lot more damage than in the show—enough to blow a hole through New York City. When officials are sent to check out the rubble, they find four mutant turtles in the rubble and decide to study them.

This is an original iteration where the turtles are all prehistoric species! Scientists are able to revive some extinct species, and progress is going well until an alien species called the Kraang invade. Ramifications include a wave of mutations across the globe, the loss of many recovered species, and the apparent death of researcher Hamato Yoshi. Hijinks ensue.

Wake Me Before I Dream

A Rise AU loosely based off of Lucids by Nicholas Podany. Splinter died of old age just a few months before Raph's 20th birthday. It was a peaceful passing, and he left proud of his accomplishments and his sons. The turtles can't accept that he is gone. A few weeks later, they discover his soul never rejoined their ancestors and is trapped within their dreams. Not all is as it seems though.
