i just saw your hc for rotxo and the how they kiss thing, and i was wondering if you could write a short (or long, wtvyou want) story where us and rotxo have our first kiss by the water, and hes smiling so much that itskinda hard to kiss him. so we slap his head so he can stop smiling but he just smiles wider 🥺🥰❤️

Disclaimer- reader is hotheaded and has useless beef with lo'ak,kisses , touchy,suggestive (not nsfw), don't like-don't read just wish death on my me or my family 🫡

You and rotxo were sitting side by side on rock , your on his shoulder as aonung and tsireya tried to reason with lo'ak to not meet payakan, because he was a soo called "outcast". Neteyam held on to lo'ak's shoulders trying to convince him. You just look at them talking, as rotxo drew slow patterns on your hand , his fingers are warm as they trace your hand. "Can you guys just get a damn room bro?" Lo'aks voice breaks the tension as you look up you notice him looking at rotxo and you , you look around you tsireya is sweetly smiling as neteyam and aonung look at each other smirking.

"Stop looking if you have that much of a problem BRO!" you fire back at lo'ak "wh-you both are right there being all lovey-dovey - how do I just stop looking" lo'ak says already infuriated "guy calm-" tsireya says trying to relax the situation but you stand up "this bro-" "yawne calm down" rotxo says trying to pull you down beside him , trying to calm you down.

Lo'ak and you always had this dynamic, either fighting each other or passing snarky comments. "No rotxo - this guy he has no love life of his own so he is interfering in others" your words made lo'ak stand up in anger , you both walk towards each other, ready to claw each other's face off. But like always neteyam holds back lo'ak and rotxo comes in front of gently putting his hands on your face "calm down yawne-" "Yeah, teach your girl rotxo " lo'ak's words made your blood boil , you are ready to kill lo'ak but then aonung comes between you both standing like a wall and rotxo mutters "damn you lo'ak" as he picks you up, your legs dangling from his shoulders. You shriek as the ground suddenly disappeared from under your feet. He takes you off the rock to his elu, you tried to reason with him as the elu dowe off in the water.

You hold on tightly to rotxo's chest as the elu swims towards the shore. You hurriedly get off as you reach the sand ,smoothing out your hair and fixing your loincloth ,"what was that rotxo?" You said looking at him in anger for manhandling you, rotxo smiles as he follows you as you stom off more closer to the forest, sitting under a dense tree for shade , the ocean water shining like patterns on your skin. Rotxo follows you sitting beside you , his smile still on his face "you look adorable when you are mad " he whispers closer to your ear , your head turns towards his your face is just inches away from his, he has that look in his eyes which makes you think if you should kill him or kiss him. You looked the other way trying to search for anything that would divert your attention, but you feel rotxo's hand on your chin , he turns your face towards his own as his brings his face closer to his.

You look in his eyes , those impossibly blue eyes , that are currently focused on your lips , his face looks like he forgot how to breath so you close the distance between your lips , your lips are soft on his and his warm on yours , you close your eyes as his hands hold your cheeks deepening the kiss but rotxo at the end of the day is your lovely shy babyboy , his lips stretch out in between the kiss , he is trying hard not to smile fully. He tries , with all his might to just close his mouth and kiss you properly like he has always wanted to , to take your breath away , to leave you wishing for more.

But he pulls away finally smiling fully, giggling like a child who just rode a elu for the first time. You look at him trying to hold your own laughter "what are you laughing for ??" You ask annoyed but your tone doesn't have that bite which it has when you talk to others. He looks at you still giggling as he shakes his head "I- I'm just too happy " he says between gigglings "I love you soo much" he whispers closer to you , touching your nose with his. You hold his cheeks pulling his lips closer but his smile just won't go , but it wipes off his face when you lift your hand from his cheeks and strike his head once , it wasn't harsh but enough to snap him out of his gigglefit , you get off the ground throwing one of your legs across his lap , one of his hand moving to your waist as you close the distance between your lips , this time harder , moving your lips with his.

Pairing: Rotxo x gn!Sully!reader

Summary: A quiet boy who stayed. A loud warrior who tried. Rotxo watches, waits, and somehow becomes the one you can’t ignore.

By the time the Sully family had lived with the Metkayina for a few months, you had learned many things: how to breathe slower underwater, how to move with the current, how to listen to the ocean instead of fighting it.

But you still hadn’t learned how to ignore the way Rotxo looked at you. He didn’t just look. He watched, quietly, carefully, like he was always making sure you were safe.

Rotxo had helped you the most in the beginning. Not Aonung, not the warriors. Rotxo. Patient, calm, gentle.

Sometimes he stood behind you in the water, guiding your wrists as you threw a net. “Not like that,” he murmured softly. “Let the water carry it.” When the net spread perfectly, you laughed. Rotxo smiled… then stepped back quickly. His hands had stayed a moment too long.

Things changed when Aonung started joining your training. He was proud, loud, sometimes laughed with you, sometimes pushed you farther or deeper. And unfortunately… he was very easy to notice. Tall. Confident. Strong. Everything Rotxo believed he wasn’t.

One afternoon, the Sully siblings watched from the beach. Lo'ak leaned forward. “You see that?” Out on the water, Aonung helped you balance on your ilu. You nearly slipped and laughed.

Neteyam glanced calmly. “I see.” Kiri hummed. “Rotxo doesn’t look happy.”

Further down the shore, Rotxo stood beside Tsireya, pretending to fix a net but clearly watching you.

Tuk gasped. “Oh! Is he jealous?!” Lo’ak burst out laughing. “Oh, he’s doomed.”

That evening Rotxo almost walked into a tree.

He hadn’t noticed; all he could think about was the way you laughed with Aonung. Maybe Aonung was right, maybe someone like you would choose someone like him. A future leader, a strong warrior. Not the quiet boy who fixed nets and stayed in the background.

Fortunately for you, Jake noticed everything. His eyes moved from you… to Rotxo… then to Aonung. He nudged Neytiri.

“Our kid likes the quiet one.”

Neytiri followed his gaze. “Yes. But he believes they will choose Aonung.”

Jake snorted. “Kid worries too much.”

Neytiri flicked her tail. “He reminds me of myself once.”

Jake groaned. “Uh oh.”

“When you first came to the clan,” she continued, “I told you you were free to choose any woman of the clan.”

Jake rubbed his face. “You started making a list.”

“Yes,” Neytiri said. “Strong women. Skilled hunters. And yet… some hearts already know their choice.”

Jake smirked. “Yeah. But he’s still getting the scary dad speech.”

Later, Rotxo sat at the edge of the beach, staring at the glowing ocean.

“You disappeared,” you said.

“Just thinking,” he shrugged.

You sat beside him. Only the waves spoke.

“Aonung is… a good match for you.”

“What?”

“He’s strong. Confident. The clan respects him.”

“And?”

“You deserve someone like that.”

You counted on your fingers. “Aonung is strong.”

Rotxo nodded. “He’s confident.” Another nod. “He’s respected.” He shifted. “Yes.”

“He’s a future leader.”

Rotxo forced a small smile. “Exactly.”

You watched him quietly. “But I don’t want Aonung.”

Rotxo blinked. “What?”

“I said I don’t want Aonung.”

“But… you laugh with him, train together—”

“Yes,” you interrupted, “because he’s my friend. But he’s not the one I look for in a crowd.”

You nudged his shoulder. “You are. You’re the one who helped me when everyone else laughed. You’re the one who stayed.”

Your fingers slid across the sand until they touched his. “You’re also the one who keeps trying to give me to someone else. Very annoying.”

Rotxo let out a shaky laugh. “You’re serious?”

“I don’t want Aonung,” you whispered. “I want you.”

For a moment, he stared, as if someone had handed him the sky.

“You… want me?”

“Yes.”

“I thought you’d choose someone stronger.”

“I don’t need the strongest warrior. I need the one who stayed.”

Rotxo’s ears flicked. “So… are you going to kiss me, or do I have to do it myself?”

He slid his hand to your waist. When you didn’t move, he pulled you closer. “Are you sure?”

Instead of answering, you grabbed his chest cord and pulled him down.

Your lips met. Hesitant at first, soft. Then your fingers slid into his hair. Something inside him broke. He kissed back with intensity, pulling you against him. Waves whispered around you. Far from the village lights, no one saw. The moment belonged only to you.

After a long, breathless pause, you both slowly pulled away, eyes still locked. Hand in hand, you stood up and walked together along the shore, disappearing into the shadows, leaving the beach empty behind you.

Across the village, near the fire, Jake and Neytiri watched the dark beach.

His eyes followed you and Rotxo walking away from the lights.

Jake crossed his arms with a grin. “Told you.”

Neytiri flicked her ears. “Yes.”

Jake chuckled. “Kid finally figured it out.”

They watched the empty shoreline for a moment, waves filling the quiet.

Jake shook his head. “…Yeah.” Then added with a smirk, gesturing toward the ocean: “If that Metkayina boy breaks my child's heart, I’m throwing him in there.”

Neytiri laughed softly. “He will not.”

Jake glanced once more toward the dark beach. “…Yeah. He’s not going anywhere.”

reader: “but I don’t want Aonung.”

me, already dragging him away: don’t worry about it. I do.

(now waiting for my brain to cooperate so I can write something for him too)

I started with a simple idea last night and somehow blacked out and wrote around 12 pages of Rotxo. twelve. whole word pages. now i have to somehow turn this into a coherent one-shot and honestly i’m a little scared.

the best part? it didn’t even take that long. my brain just refused to let me rest until those pages existed.
