jay and lloyd headcanon :3
lloyd used to be afraid of lightning and thunderstorms, so jay would always dull his element around him to not scare him and would stick by him during storms. lloyd got over it a long time ago, but jay never really got rid of that habit.
now, without his memories, jay finds himself still doing it unconsciously. he didnt realize until a storm rolled in one day and he instinctively went to go find lloyd. he didnt know why, but it just felt right.
lloyd, obviously confused as to why jay just suddenly decided to accompany him in whatever he was doing, questioned him in annoyance. majority of the times the two interacted, jay made it obvious he didnt like lloyd, or any of the ninja for that matter. he figured jay came just to tease or mock, and lloyd didnt feel like hearing it.
jay answered with a shrug. “i dunno. i thought you’d be scared.”
lloyd relaxed and played along. if it meant that he could feel like his brother is back again, just for a bit, he’d gladly pretend to be scared of thunder any day.
