Hmmmm, this is an interesting question. Brace yourself for a combo of headcanons and character analysis. Thing is, she's more transparent than she'd like to believe. Although her manner of thinking can indeed be considered abstruse and befuddling by some people, her fears aren't entirely unidentifiable. It just takes ample time, unyielding patience, and exceptional attentiveness to unearth those fears. That said, she doesn't like to admit to anyone that she's capable of experiencing trepidation. She strives to be seen as independent, self-sufficient, unassailable, and confident. Just as negative emotions and unpleasant disturbances can attract Grimm, the slightest bit of vulnerability can attract the unwanted attention of opportunists who might seek to exploit any weakness. So, she's blatantly deny feeling apprehension as a means of defending herself. It also ties in with her tendency to put herself in a favorable light instead of acknowledge her flaws aloud. ( Ex. Claiming not to be afraid, but smart. )
By those she genuinely and deeply cares for, she doesn't want to be seen as perfect though. Here's the problem. She did reach out in her own way after discovering Salem's existence and the plethora of other disconcerting truths that she made herself aware of. She tried to express her uncertainty, reluctance, and fear to those she held close at the time. However, she found herself feeling as if they disregarded her opinions and unease. So, she now believes it's futile to apprise anyone else of how she truly feels. It's yet another reason why she doesn't openly acknowledge any of her fears at all. So, to further tie everything together, her strongest fears are: (1) thanatophobia and ( 2 ) a fear of Salem.
