Whelp, plenty of you asked for it over the past year. Have a rough concept of Swap!Rewind and Swap!Ghost.
Rough concepts from the Batfam Fashion Zine! ;)
finally bit the bullet and tried my hand at drawing my borrower character. Pikett, surprised I didn’t draw or have a borrower oc sooner tbh, i also tried to make some cool lamp kind of thing for him bc im a sucker for all the cool tools borrowers make. Edit: all my video game friends think of link seeing him and I laugh bc it was totally not intended
cow centaurs? cowtaurs?? idk
I can thank @zestyhoneybeee for the idea lol. these are quite loose concepts but I’m kinda growing fond of them already
(also might color and flesh out the last sketch because I really like it)

Been feeling a bit of artists block lately, so here's some concept sketches of Leif until I can make something new...
(the spiky haired one is his brother, Fire. Or at least that's his name until I can come up with a better one)
WIPs from June 25th & 26th, 2019
Some very messy SGZ background stuff. The first is a sort of cover attempt and the second is a concept piece for what I’m tentatively calling “The Moon Space”. Cassie’s eye has an “inner world” that she can look into, and it is where her sword is kept when it isn’t summoned. I haven’t fully explored the concept yet so I’m sure the design will change, but it’s very Fountain of Dreams meets Sword in the Stone at the moment.
I find I get really overwhelmed when I try to make backgrounds and somehow all of my designing skills go out the window when I’m not drawing an actual character, despite trying to GIVE character to a background instead. So usually most of my attempts don’t get past this rough phase, with or without colour, and I feel like that will remain true for a while.
But, backgrounds are one of my weakest aspects, so I knew trying to fix that would be painful. As for the cover it’s that struggle plus trying to figure out what to put that encapsulates the comic as a whole. It’s possible that I won’t know what the true cover will look like until the comic is done, but I’ve tried for literally years to FINISH one at least, even if it’s not the final one I stick with.
I’m not suuuuuper happy with either of these, but they’re also far from finished and there are some good things in both. I was just really angry with myself today and I need that posting validation dangit >:| It’s more of a battle cry “I WILL TRY AGAIN” sort of angry though, so at least that’s something. Adventures in self-improvement I guess.
Concepts to final for my Birdperson Variant Cover! It was Ghibli inspired (if that wasn’t obvious already heh heh..) and I had so much fun working on it!
