eepy now
there there, get some rest. any silly tasks can be postponed a little, you'll be fine <3 hands you pillow and a blankie
people are always saying, “don’t trust people on the internet” and why shouldn’t we believe them? there’s people on the internet who have done godawful things
but then there’s the people who will stop their morning, night, afternoon, or lunch break to help you. there’s the people who light up your face every time you talk to them. there’s the conversations you smile through the entire time.
there’s the times where you just have that heavy, awful feeling that doesn’t quite have a name, or a source. there’s no place it starts, you just were fine and now you’re drowning. when you feel like there’s nobody you can talk to, nobody that understands.
that’s when the internet friends are there. they will drop everything to bring you through it. they will talk to you for hours until they know you’re ok. they’ll stay up all night to make sure everything is ok. they’re the kind of people that you start by saying “I’m feeling a little down right now, nothing to worry about” and suddenly you’re confessing your secrets to a person you’ve never truly met, a person who lives in a different city, a different state, a different continent. they are the people who nobody ever truly talks about, because they are the people that so many take for granted.
and internet friends may be dismissed as inconsequential, or shallow, or impersonal. but for some people, they are the most important people in their life. the people they can rant to about everything that’s happening. the people who are always a click away, who you can talk to through a throat swollen with tears and blurry eyes. they’re the people, who are just there, who doesn’t have to travel to reach out to you. they’re the people you never knew you wanted, never knew you needed. they’re the people that you can laugh with, and cry with, and plot secrets with.
they’re the people you form bonds with. sure, maybe you’ve never met them. maybe you’ve never heard their voice. maybe you don’t even know their name. they’re the anonymous account whose inbox is always open. they’re the customer support that answers on the first ring. they’re the therapist who doesn’t feel like a therapist, because they’ve seen your problems. maybe in a friend, maybe in themselves.
they’re the people who know the most about you and the least about you, who know your darkest secrets but not the color of your eyes. they don’t need to know everything about you. they just know you. maybe the person no one else sees, because you’re scared of rejection or failure. maybe the person everyone sees, but not the swaggering outside or the shy exterior. the anxiety-ridden heart or the extroverted interior. they know what you want them to know, and that’s you. because internet friends see all our sides. the weak ones, the excited ones, the miserable ones, the social ones, the strong sides the brave sides the adventurous sides the cowardly sides the warm, cuddly sides. the sides we show to some people and the sides you show to others. and if you’re showing this you to these people and this you to those people, that’s ok. there’s people who know all of you.
so maybe you’ve had an amazing day, and then everything crashes. they’re the person that’s there for you. maybe your day’s been out to get you. they’re the person that makes you giggle with their wits and blush with their innuendos. they’re the person you love with all your heart, because they know all your heart.
so yeah, maybe the internet is a scary place. the world is a scary place. sometimes even your bed can be scary. and the people who pull you through it?
they’re the people you need to keep.

Rough Day?
Rough Day?
little worried to leave the public bathroom stall.. The person who used the stall next to me was so aggressive about peeing and nearly broke the toilet paper holder and is currently assaulting the paper towel dispenser... SOS
