drew this while watching Terryl Whitlatch and Michael Habib’s talk about how to design creatures in extreme environments. The prompt was to create a dragon that lives in a low gravity moon blanketed in a dense, reddish atmosphere.

I designed this based on the Stegosaur, Portuguese man o' war and Yeti Crab!

I would probably tweak the body proportions and anatomy to make it more believable that it can really float around, but this was fun!

It’s got some pops and clicks, but it’s functional! Rough pass - this is meant to be a falcolf galloping (eventually, omg.)

Probably going to go for less tail movement, predators tend to use their tails as a rudder and this... this is nope. (Swish can be in secondary animation of da floof.)

I have this idea to animate various Rimarian species in their various gaits just for fun and to see what they’d be like. I should really be animating this falcolf prowling instead, considering that they’re lazy bastards who hate running unless it’s to take off or scare the shit out of something, but meeeh, I feel like galloping.
