I decided to animate my previous post! I had fun with the smear frames and hand-drawing the glitch effects on this one! Caine is mostly animated on 1s, with Bruce on 2s and 3s. Frame-rate is 24fps and is animated on roughanimator app

After a month of constant animating, I finally finished this! Bruce and Dory in my Tolkien AU

Balto (1995) was one of my largest influences for getting into animation, and as a child, I’d often pause and go frame-by-frame to see how animators achieved such fluid and powerful sequences.

As a self-taught animator beginning my journey at 10yo, I’d like to think that younger me would have been thrilled to see how far I’ve done!

So far, so good!

First part of the animation done— with key frames, breakdowns, and some squish-squash extremes.

Next step will be adding the in-betweens to smoothen the animation.

I’m trying some experiments with timing, working at 24fps and fiddling with the timing of each frame.

Another animation exercise— turn around ft. Bruce the Olog/Troll.

Not done yet, but a good start. Just some more angles, a few tweaks, and then inking it (if I still have the motivation).
