What to have with oysters? I found this really unique Rousanne on the wine list at Saltwater Oyster Depot and it was the perfect pairing. This 2016 Muddy Arch Rousanne from Leonard Wines was an aromatic and full bodied white wine. A bit of diesel on the nose mixed with melon l, citrus and floral notes. On the palate, earthy, with some stone fruit and citrus. No oak but nice mouthfeel that made me wonder if it had seen oak. Grapes sourced from the Lands Vineyard at the base of the Mayacamas.
