Meet the #roversofimmventures . This May, we had an opportunity to contribute to the some good social work. We, along with 40 people of ‘Uttarakhand Yuva Manch, Chandigarh’ stepped out for a trekking trip to Nag Tibba for a Cleanliness Drive. What made this journey more special was the fact that the age of people heading together for this event were between 25-60 years. . Uttarakhand Yuva Manch (UYM) is an NGO formed in 1993 by some young, energetic and enthusiastic youths living in and around chandigarh but originally belonging to Uttarakhand. The aim was social interaction, preservation of folk art and culture, educational upliftment and moral support in times of need to the resident and non-resident population of Uttarakhand. . UYM has since been engaged in organizing cultural events, social discussion meetings, educational tours and creating awareness for clean environment. . The trekking trip was flagged off by the honourable Environment Minister of Uttarakhand ‘ Mr. Harak Singh Rawat’ from CM Niwas, Dehradun. The Trek ended the following day. . The feeling of doing something good itself fills you with lot of motivation!
