D is for Dahlia, and for the artist David Hollington, one of my dearest friends and fellow gardeners, a painter of not always the easiest feelings as well as invisible links between people and creatures, a connection not always understood on a rational level, but seldom denied. He is a conservationist and lover of nature, plants, animals. @davidhollington David is painting twenty-six botanical portraits for an A to Z book that he asked me to write the text for, a collection of plants we both have grown -or tried to grow- in our gardens. There will be an exhibition of his works in London in October, and then, following the art exhibit, a book (probably) entitled Hollington's Florilegium. This is a book and collaboration that I am very proud of, and I look forward to sharing it with many of you in the new year, especially my friends who love plants! #hollingtonsflorilegium #davidhollington #clarkanthonylawrence #artistsinlondon #rowleygallery #botanicalbeauty #newbookproject #librichepassione #thepowerofplants #worksonpaper #comingsoon (presso La Macchina Fissa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRPccPSrMUE/?utm_medium=tumblr
