tasterico: two bennington residents you’d love to have a threesome with?
"this feels like a trap. i mean, i’m already half-in with that foursome, and now i have to reallocate to yet another combination? these people, never satisfied!” he huffs in frustration, but it’s mixed in with a laugh. “okay, well, if i preface this with the fact that there’s no one in this city i want to sleep with more than eddie - like, i’ll take two eddie’s in a threesome before i take anyone else, though that actually feels a little incestuous, so maybe not - but with that being said, either aster and tommy or leo and alex. depending on the mood and the season, you know? and also on whether aster agrees at all, because i have no idea how compatible our stars are in that regard.”
lucy: who’s someone who you think will be in your life forever?
answered!
jay: if your muse could only listen to three musicians for the rest of their life, who would they be and why?
this is tough, mostly because i imagine raph to be one of those people who fixates on musicians/albums obsessively depending on the mood he’s in, then forgets about them for a year or two until the right mood strikes and it’s their time again. but after much deliberation here are his can’t-live-without musicians and a bit of explanation:
1. the lumineers - this is his artist for escapism! he listens to the lumineers when everything goes wrong in his life and he needs to fantasize about a life beyond the one he’s living, the version of himself that packs everything up and rents a van to sleep under the stars in a different national park every day. it’ll never happen (and honestly, thank god, because he hates camping), but it’s a nice little pipedream to fall into to the tune of ‘cleopatra’ and ‘sleep on the floor’.
2. kendrick lamar - this is a bit of a wildcard because raph’s usually not really a big rap guy, but when he listens to kendrick he feels related to a black identity that he’s never been able to otherwise truly connect to growing up in a white suburb in california. in that way, songs like ‘alright’ and ‘dna.’ are crucial in his ability to remember that his upbringing doesn’t make him any less deserving of a place in the black community.
3. beach bunny - the ultimate boohoo go-to, aka his favorite emo indie pop-punk. raph feel his sadness in deep troughs of depression and worthlessness, and so mad sad music is really important for him as a vessel through which to get a little puffier and fed-up about what’s hurt him in the past. lying on the floor and listening to lorde has its merits, don’t get him wrong, but it’s beach bunny’s angry girl music that’s going to get him back on his feet.
