The standalone motel sign with arrow was added to the property in 1961, along with the office building designed by Armet & Davis matching a Denny’s diner not shown on the postcard.

Royal Palms Motel, Las Vegas – postcard c. 1953
Developed by father and son Nate and Jerome Mack, the motel was built in 1953 and opened late ‘53, maybe early ‘54. Dunes was built next door bought the motel right before their own opening in ‘55.
