Some before and after pictures of the 1926 Royal Model P I just finished. This machine was in terribly rough shape when I acquired it, broken drawband, 95 years of dirt, grease, grime and rust, the paper bail rollers were melted to the platen and the platen was frozen. It now has all new rubbe from J.J. Just finished this beautiful 1930 Royal P for a customer. Had its share of issues going in including a broken ribbon lift, which I replaced. I recently purchased a beautiful 1927 Royal Model P but it didn’t have a case. So using another 1927 case I brought it to a friend who is a carpenter and he was able to make me another case. I then went to Ace Hardware and got the other stuff needed. The back hinge area was challenging because they’re a special hinge so I used a drawer/cabinet magnet.
