just thinking of the villainess is the marionette. in another parallel world where the reader is a young teenager ( around 14-15ish ) and the half-sibling of the cayena due to them sharing a father as the reader's mother was a former queen before she died. perhaps she didn't have the best relationship with either sibling because rezef frightened her and og!cayena was still too arrogant so she just spend her days tending to the emperor and just living life quietly. until, fl!cayena emerged after the poisoning event and got even closer to the reader. in the end, both princesses decided to run away and did that, living that cottagcore lifestyle they dreamed of! ( love the ml and all but just a won't bit salty that cayena ended up falling for him and didn't run away as she planned ) would you think rezef and raphael would do when they hear the princesses were missing? - 🌌 anon

𓆩♡𓆪 So, you were the emperors youngest child, your mother had died during childbirth but the emperor still loved you like his daughter. This made Cayena and Rezef envy you because they never got the love and attention that you received.
𓆩♡𓆪 Rezef wasan ill-mannered child and Cayena was opinionated and being the emperor's child you didn’t have friends at all. You were stuck in your room all day, the walls of the castle felt like bars and you felt trapped.
𓆩♡𓆪 You were a solitary girl, you didn’t have anyone else and simply relied on yourself. However, after the poisoning incident you noticed that Cayena changed so much. You were stunned to say the least, she was no longer an arrogant little girl, instead she was an intelligent woman.
𓆩♡𓆪Eventually Cayena made an effort to reach out to you after all you were her sister. Soon the two of you actually became close, it was a huge change for you since you were always alone but having someone to talk to other than your bedroom wall really helped!
𓆩♡𓆪 You would often have cutesy picnics under the warm sunlight, and bring each other very expensive gifts. She would still be a little resentful of the fact the emperor loved you dearly while he treated Cayena like she was useless but she loved you and even jealousy wouldn’t come between that <3
𓆩♡𓆪 Rezef was still not close to either of you, he was extremely short tempered whenever you or Cayena were around. He would get enraged over the slightest of things and eventually you and Cayena discussed that the two of you could not live like this.
𓆩♡𓆪 One night, Cayena came to your room and brought a map. The both of you discussed a way to escape and over the course of the next month you had bribed a few servants into getting you a small cottage in the middle of the woods and switching out your royal clothes to more casual clothes.
𓆩♡𓆪 While Rezef was on a mission and Raphelo was busy because of business the two of you fled the palace and moved into your tiny cottage. The cottage was even smaller than your room but the both of you knew that this life would be much better than what the two of you had back at the castle.
𓆩♡𓆪 You were in charge of cooking while Cayena did the cleaning. You had to teach her how to cook and it took a while. Eventually the two of you got used to your new surroundings, slowly falling in love with nature.
𓆩♡𓆪 Animals would come and visit the two of you every now and then, it would be so cute how you and Cayena had a small blanket out in the woods with a wooden basket of food. ( Sandwiches, fruits, berries, jams, chocolates that Cayena picked up from visits to the town ) and the animals would come while the two of you fed them something. It became a habit for the deers, rabbits and birds to visit you every morning, afternoon and night.
𓆩♡𓆪 Cayena and you would braid each other’s hair and enjoy being so close, living a non royal and simple life was so beautiful, sunsets were so clear and the night sky was so gorgeous.
𓆩♡𓆪 You and Cayena would put a blanket on the grass and lie down. Sometimes the two of you would sleep staring at the stars instead of being asleep in the cottage. The animals around took notice of that and would keep you warm because you were such nice humans ;)
𓆩♡𓆪 One time, when you were half asleep you could have sworn you saw a few peacocks holding edges of a blanket in their beaks and gently placing it over you while you sleep out. You thought it was simply a dream until you noticed a peacock feather in your hair the next morning.
𓆩♡𓆪 Meanwhile Rezef was furious that his sisters ran away, he thought that there was no reason for them to run away after all those spoiled women are living a royal life! Raphael understood why the two women would run away and he was slightly happy for them. He was a little upset that he might not see Cayena again but she was never happy in the palace and now that she was finally happy he didn’t want to take that away from her.
𓆩♡𓆪Raphael would most likely hinder Rezef when he was sending troops to find the both of you because he genuinely cares about your well beings and knows that living the royal life will completely destroy you mental state.
𓆩♡𓆪 Point is, because Raphael ruined it for Rezef everytime he went looking for the two of you, Rezef was told by everyone in the empire to give up. Eventually, after a lot of convincing he gave up on finding the both of you because he assumed you would have died. After all, there is no way two royal women who are used to having everything at their fingertips could possibly survive living outside.
𓆩♡𓆪 Bonus: You and Cayena had actually seen Rezef’s troops, the both of you were hiding behind the bushes when you saw an angry blonde male yelling out both your names. Then a deer friend of yours ushered the both of you to follow him and you and Cayena were led to a cave where you both hid out until Rezef and his troops left. These animals would now protect you because you were so unselfish and considerate to them.
