on reblogging rp threads;
I’ve faced this a lot on my old blog, no matter how many times I asked people not to do this, so let’s just set some ground rules.
Only two people can reblog a rp thread – those who write it. Whenever a personal blog reblogs a thread, it’s confusing for roleplayers because:
a) it ruins the consistency of the thread;
b) many roleplayers are uncomfortable with personals interacting with their blogs in any way (unless these personals are mains for rp sideblogs).
So if you are a personal blog and you follow a rp blog, keep in mind that there are certain rules of etiquette. You don’t have to know all of them, nobody expects you to, but remember that it’s unacceptable to reblog threads. The fact that they’re posted publicly doesn’t mean that they will look cool on your blog. You may like them and I’m sure many roleplayers won’t mind being asked questions about their threads or hearing how great they are, as long as it’s done via ims or inbox (I know I don’t mind that, but check the particular roleplayer’s rules). But don’t. Reblog. Threads.
