Marina was off ‘exploring’ Inkopolis again. She was starting to get the hang of the layout, but it was such a huge city that there were plenty of places to get lost in. Not that she minded being lost – it was the easiest way to discover new areas. Checking her phone (she’d made sure it was charged before she went out, since it’d run out of batteries on her last excursion) she discovered that this street wasn’t too far from the station, and there was a CD store nearby! She was definitely going to check that out. As soon as she raised her head, however, Marina was startled upon noticing a particular passer-by . . . wasn’t that the DJ that’d performed over the Octopus vs. Squid splatfest?!  She had to stop her and say hi!!!

“Hey!” the young Octoling called out, jogging over and weaving through a crowd of pedestrians, “aren’t you Princess DJ Sunshine?! I saw you perform over the splatfest, I haven’t heard beats like that since before I left Octovalley!! Can I get your autograph??”

 Without waiting for a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response, she’d already started pulling a notebook and pen out of her shoulder-bag. However, now that she had better look at Lulu, Marina noticed there was something different about the way she looked compared to how she did onstage during the ‘fest. But … still, she had to be an Octoling, right??

“I’m Marina. You know, same name as that other DJ—except I already got her autograph ages ago,” she announced, pressing the pen and book forward.

Noonien shivered slightly when he felt her touch on his hair- he sure wasn’t used to touching- at least friendly touching- He couldn’t remember being so physically close to her in moments like those- it felt so...strange, in a good way. His heart started to race, his cyan eyes trying to avoid direct eye contact with her. Noonien’s hair got thicker at the touch, the shorter hair on his nape shivering as well. His hair sure was a mess though- that would easily happen every time he slept or moved too much- Now his heart was louder, he started to worry if Vega could hear it or not. It was hard to tell if what she was doing was intimidating or simply an act of affection- even for someone with his intelligence Vega was still hard to read. “W...what are you doing....?” He hesitantly asked, almost automatically- he didn’t know how to feel or what to do, and he hated to not be in control of the situation. His heart got even louder, but his voice was sweet.

Hailing from Croydon, a part of the world that’s become synonymous with gangs and violence, Marc’s aim is to expose people to something different and finding himself as the face of Spotify playlists and racking up ½ million streams on the first single from the EP ‘Real’, he’s certainly delivering what he intended to.
