The TW’s titled prior to Blake’s introduction will be involved here. Again, read with caution.
Their parents are Richard Grayson and a faceless character named Esme, heir to her brother’s, Alejandro, company and name (b4 Kori, during when he was Robin).
At age 16, ends up dr*gging him via gaslighting and ends up nonconning him. Not even a week later, she dumps him before valentine’s day.
Esme ends up pregnant and dates another man. She doesn’t tell Dick (PAUSE: Bruce soon finds out about this but doesn’t tell Dick because he was still shaken up by the whole ordeal. Keep this in mind!). Alejandro supports her through it.
9 months later, we have Blake.
At age 19, Esme dies in a mall shooting with her boyfriend. Blake, now 5, manages to flee.
Age 6, Alejandro kicks them out once he realizes with Esme gone, they’re the one who has to inherit his belongings- that made his greed spiraling.
Age 7-9, Blake is in foster care.
Age 10, they get taken in by an elderly woman. She soon dies from cancer. They’re back in the system.
Age 10-12, they begin to lose trust in adults after getting/nearly SA’d on multiple occasions and 🍇’d twice.
Age 13, they run away from the orphanage and begin to fend for themself on the streets.
Slade finds them and begins training them. It results in borderline gr00ming.
Blake “FUCK NO” Grayson manages to flee but it most certainly getting tracked. He does little to nothing to do about it.
Age 14, they begin their life as the thief, Barbrastelle.
They also begin smoking and drinking. Cowabummer.
Things stay the same, with them having a routine to steal money for food and clean water despite living in a stolen safe house. That’s until Dick (which, i assume he’s still dealing with jason’s demise) finds them blacked out in an alleyway.
Ofc, he’s like “DAWG?” and decides to bring them into his apartment so he can watch over them. Like, he knows they’re a criminal but they’re also a kid trying to survive. It’s mainly bc they remind him of jaylad.
Blah blah blah. He mentions this to Bruce days later after they snuck out when he was asleep. Much to his surprise, Bruce was acting more brooding upon mention of a “kid that kinda looked like me but a red-head.”
Dick starts digging and finds out said kid is his CHILD. He’s in obv distraught for weeks but decided to confront Bruce first. He apologizes and explains why he hid them. Dick doesn’t rlly buy it.
Dick finds Blake’s safe house. They’re obviously freaking out while he’s trying to calmly explain that he’s their father.
Blake is in denial about it until vv
Age 15, Blake gets assaulted by Slade. They’re left with severe burn marks and other wounds.
Dick comes to the rescue and barely manages to ward him off. Blake nearly dies but is promptly taken to the Batcave to get patched up.
Blake also finds out everything Dick said was true. They hold a grudge against Bruce from here point out.
Age 15-16, Blake heals quickly and attempts to continue their antics as Barbrastelle, this time leaning more on the vigilante side. They still don’t trust Dick but isn’t as wary from before.
They find out Alejandro has affiliations with Sionis. Infiltrating his territory, they find in a file that it was Alejandro who orchestrated the shooting, so he can secure his wealth for himself.
They end up becoming more reckless after this, desperate for the justice they never got.
Karma hits them like a train as they were lured into Joker’s warehouse, which results in them half-dead again.
A golden glow, Apollo (he’s invisible to most mortals except them), approaches and soothes them.
Just in time, Dick arrives to save them before they actually die.
They now have a missing eye from the incident.
Age late 16-17, they’ve spent most of this timespan to get stronger and stealthier. But they’ve mainly begun to stay silent.
They finally come back to Dawn Estate and sneaks in.
They deactivate the power inside of the mansion, using the darkness to their advantage to kill everyone one by one.
They torment Alejandro specifically, letting him escape only to wipe off all hope when he finally reached the doors, killing him.
They keep his skull and kept it hidden in plain sight, using it as decoration.
Age 18, they fixed up the manor by then. The loneliness begins to make their mental health decline.
They adopt S’mores to keep them company.
S’mores is a symbol of the childhood they could’ve had if Alejandro didn’t hire Sionis to kill Esme.
They become a trad goth to hide their injuries. They also get into Hellenism to thank Apollo for not letting them die when the Joker attacked them.
Continues their life as Barbrastelle, this time as a vigilante.
