As an "artist" I've always had 2 main goals. 1) to be good; and 2) to have my own semi distinct style. I haven't really reached either of those goals but I think I'm gonna try and work harder on developing my own personal style.
Day 27 of rpgdan's story a day Challenge.
There is a world where art comes to life; a handful of gifted artists have the ability to draw, paint, sculpt, etc. something and it will spring to life. Not as a living sentient being but more like a robot. A young artist tries their whole life to become one of the few that possess this ability. They become a great artist but never having any piece of art come alive. Frustrated the artist draws a fantastical landscape with the outline of a blank character and stares at hoping they will see something to clue them in on how this ability works. When nothing happens the artist sweeps everything off of their desk in frustration. The artist stands up and goes to walk away. Not paying attention the artist steps on the landscape drawing and falls headfirst downward. After quickly reorienting themself the artist realizes they are inside the landscape drawing. Off in the distance the artist hears the clamoring of people and remembers they drew a village of to the side of the drawing. The artist gets up and decides to go investigate the world that they created.
Sometimes I like to use gender neutral pronouns when writing these because I literally think of these stories on the spot so I don't really know anything about the character. I don't know if they are a she, he or they or whatever. Is themself the correct gender neutral word? I assume Tumblr knows.
