My Top 5 New XKit Extensions

UIt’s no lie that Tumblr updates fuck us roleplayers up constantly. Luckily, the New XKit program helps to fix or correct these updates that Tumblr has been so graciously granting us. New XKit may seem intimidating at first, but it has a lot of helpful extensions. So here’s a post no one asked for of my Top 5 Favorite New XKit extensions that I recommend everyone in the RPC should download! If they haven’t already, that is.

5. Header Options - This one may not seem so useful, but it’s the best thing that’s happened to me. It’s especially helpful if you have sideblogs onto your main account. It helps to easily sort through which blog’s posts you’re staring at. I like it better than clicking the little person icon on the far right hand side to be able to get to my posts, drafts, activity, etc. 

4. Tweaks - This is the best because you can get everything just the way you like it. It especially helps with unwanted buttons on the dash. There’s a ton of ways you can customize your dash experience with Tweaks, but my favorite options are “Hide Explore Link at Top of Page” and “Hide Tumblr Radar,” among others, of course. 

3. No Recommended/Anti-Capitalism - I’m counting these two as one because they hide the clutter from your dash. Anti-Capitalism has options for you to click that made any sponsored posts disappear, hide Yahoo View links on posts, as well as hide the Ask Time banner on the dash. Nothing’s more annoying than seeing unwanted posts and ads on the dash. 

2. Tag Tracking+ - RP groups often have you track tags so you can easily find the posts the other members and the main account are posting. RPH/T/A’s might track tags that are relevant to them, to see if anyone is talking about them or making posts for them. It brings you back to the golden age of 2013 when our tracked tags were on our sidebar on the dash! Plus, it gives you a count of how many new posts are in each tag. 

1. Editable Reblogs - Finally, topping off my list at #1 is Editable Reblogs. It is essential that everyone uses this. This extension allows you to cut posts and reply without having to copy & paste your partner’s response or having posts that take up three pages. No one wants to scroll for forever. Be sure you install Editable Reblogs and not Edible Reblogs!

yes of course. this has been sitting in my inbox for twenty years now and i apologize for that. just from reading your description you put in my ask, i already know this roleplay was going to be the bomb dot com. i literally love groups like this where there are subplots within the plot. i am a real sucker for that kind of thing. my only quarrel with that is, with all the groups i’ve been in with set subplots like yours, my counterpart was never active and it sucked because i could never properly carry out my plot the way i wanted because there were always new people coming into the roles and i was forced to hit restart every time. after awhile it just got exhausting and i left because i was tired of not being able to play out my own plot because of the lack of activity of everyone that took the opposite roll. i just figured you should keep that in mind for your members upon acceptances because it has happened with every group like this one that i’ve been apart of. on a less depressing note, i really like the simplicity of the color scheme and the graphics. it’s all very pleasing to the eye. the little pictures you have for the subplots are so cute and they all fit their subplots perfectly. your subplots are definitely interesting although they’re are a few cliche ones thrown in there. overall, i am fairly impressed with this group and i think you could have honestly gotten away with being a skeleton or oc instead of semi appless because they’re is so much potential in this. i’m going to go ahead and stick you in my recs and wish you the best of luck with your group!

sorry i’m such trash and have taken 20 years to do this. i swear it’s because i’m busy and not ignoring you. anyway, let’s just get on to the opinion. your page is so cute. it’s very pleasing to the eye and i love the color scheme a lot. the only thing that stood out to me was the fact that you randomly have harry in your graphics? i get that it’s a frat vs a sorority rp, so i understand the need for a male, but you could have made it less female centered and more male centered instead of just one random one harry and a whole bunch of larger pictures of females. it would make more sense to add more males into the graphics so it actually seems like a versus thing. the plot is short, sweet, and to the point. you could have definitely added more to it if i’m being honest, but it’s good as is because it tells you all you need to know about the group and leaves room for development. if you wouldn’t have added in the description in the ask that this was an oc roleplay, i honestly would have mistaken it for appless, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. all in all, this group seems pretty cool and if i had the time, i’d probably apply. i wish you the best of luck though!

Yes, of course. It's under the cut for ya. 

The first thing I noticed on about the page was that theme wasn't entirely appealing. While that doesn't matter, it's about the substance and not the look, there is a still a certain appeal when it comes to aesthetics of a roleplay. The color scheme just doesn't look so hot together. The background is really pretty but the rest of the coloring you've done just doesn't sit well with me. Like the mustardy yellow parts don't mesh with the blues you have going. The plot is very interesting. I don't think I've seen a roleplay done like this before and it immediately caught my attention and made me want to read more. I think if done right, this plot could go far. Something that really bothered me was the some of the set sexualities on the bios. Why can't you make them all up to the player rather than having characters that have to be straight? Your character graphics look lovely but again, they don't really match the rest of the theme. The coloring on them doesn't match the color scheme you've set up. All in all, this group looks wonderful. It's not something I'd personally be interested but I wish you the best of luck anyway.
