Fred was just about done for the day when Dorghu called. One of his… boys was … unwell and he wanted her to check it out. Just like that: a meaningful pause then ‘unwell.’
“What does that even mean, Dorghu?” Fred demanded. “If you are trying to dance around the word ‘shot’-”
“Nah. Nothing like that, Doc. If it was anyone else I would say drunk, but Frank has one hell of a good alcohol tolerance and isn’t prone to day drinking.”
It was Frank. As much as Fred hated to admit it, that made a difference. Frank who had carried her up five flights of stairs when he was visiting his girl and Fred was hurting. Frank who had faced off against a bunch of elves to protect Mac. Fairly solid neighbourhood rumer suggested he had found a permanent solution to that particular problem. She wasn’t supposed to give special treatment to anyone...but.
“If he’s on his way here, I will stall on sending my staff home.”
Dorghu mumbled a quick, “Thanks Doc,” before hanging up.
Moments later, Gus and Mac turned up to collect her for the end of her shift. Kate had then sit in the waiting room. “We have one more,” she said casually.
Mac parked her ass in a chair. Gus got out his phone and saw the message from Rrollo. He swore softly under his breath, then texted back a warning that Mac was in the waiting room. He had barely hit send when Rrollo and Frank’s girl all but dragged him through the door and into an exam room.
Rrollo pushed the two of them through the door then came over and looked at Mac. Looking down at her he said, "You seem like a friendly face, mind if I sit with you?"
Mac giggled and nodded and gave him an odd look. As he sat down she said, “It’s OK. Sometimes I grow overnight and then my clothes don’t fit either.”
Gus snorted at that.
---
Frank didn’t want to stay. His baby girl didn’t want him to go. They were at an impasse when Fred came in.
He mumbled and tried to duck when she tried to check his pupils. “Leave me alone!”
Fred crossed her arms, “You’re really drunk right now. I don’t think you’re gonna remember any of this, but I need to check for alcohol poisoning”
“No, I’m not drunk at all. You’re just blurry.”
Baby girl giggled. Fred frowned.
“So… you haven’t been drinking?”
“Nah, I’m cool.” Frank insisted.
Fred looked hard at the Mac’s kindergarten teacher, holding Frank’s hand.
“We are going to need blood work to confirm that, but if he hasn’t been drinking, we will need an MRI to rule out a brain injury.” Baby Girl’s eyes went wide. Fred sighed, “I hate to say this, because I will take no small amount of flack, but I think I need to see Frank in the emergency room.
----
Rrollo was sitting with Mac, Fred was busying talking to MRI techs, that left Gus with a visibly distraught Baby Girl.
“Fred’s a good Doc. She will do everything she can.”
“I know. It’s just… he’s my mate. I wasn’t even supposed to be over there yet, but I just knew something was wrong. I went over straight after work. It’s like part of me is dying too, you know what I mean?”
“Not really.” Gus replied.
“What are you talking about?” she demanded. “You’re married!”
“Only on paper,” Gus admitted.
She stared at him in amazement, then blushed and looked down. “Oh.”
“Yeah.” Gus answered.
---
Four hours later, the tox screen had come back positive for digitalis poisoning and Frank had been given activated charcoal and Digoxin-specific antibody before being admitted. Despite Fred’s assurances that they had gotten him to the hospital on time, Rrollo and Frank’s girl were both besides themselves.
Fred didn’t like to talk about her work, but since Gus had been there to hear the diagnosis, she whispered the question on their way out to his truck, “Is Frank prone to taking random drugs?”
“No.” Gus said firmly.
Fred pursed her lips, “And he doesn’t seem the type to tuck into a big bowl of flowers.”
Gus chuckled at that.
“Which leaves the question, how did Frank get a lethal dose of digoxin in to himself?”
They shared a worried glance over Mac’s head as they climbed into the vehicle and went home.
“Get that purist whore!” was wailed behind her as heavy footfalls sped towards her. Oh gods, oh sweet Jirak this was awful, somehow, they had found out about her and it was terrifying. They new she was a Natural, which meant she was fair game for all of these warring groups an there was nothing she could do about it. The monstrous roar from behind her snapped her back to her dire reality as either Frank or Rrollo threw on of her attackers into a wall, the whir of their augmentations almost deafening as they worked to help the two orcs fend off the massive group.
These assholes came from HBE (Humans Before Enhancements). Usually they wouldn’t dare come around the orc district, but they had heard about her. Initially they just wanted to ask for her help to find how to “Get humans back to their roots”, but when she turned them down they had gotten very, VERY pushy. Leading to them waiting outside to try and kidnap her, honestly had Frank and Rrollo not been there she would have be dragged into their van and driven away into the night.
But no they were after her and her poor boys and their little friend were trying their best to keep her safe, but some of the smaller guys had slipped past and were catching up fast “Deploying Edens Apple!” Was screamed just before a high-pitched whistling scream tore through the air before there was an explosion overhead. What the fuck was that? What the hell where these guys doing?! Powder spilled down from the sky, coating her skin and almost chocking her as she breathed it in, gods it felt like she was on fire! What was this stuff?!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Frank barrelled around the corner like an Orc possessed, tearing down the freakish little men that had chased after his baby girl and throwing them into the brick walls. Watching their pathetic little bodies go limp. Then it happened, the sound almost making him double over due to its high pitch wail. The smell of that powder hit his senses immediately, burning and making him gag and hack for a brief moment before his augmentations started to whirr and spin, purifying the air in his lungs.
But his Baby girl didn’t have those augmentations, his eyes shot to his mates’ tiny fragile form as she writhed on the floor as she clawed at her throat as tears streamed down her face “Baby! I’m comin babe!” He bellowed as he rushed forward, tackling the last few guys to the ground as he did so. The next few moments where a blur to him as his fist flew continuously down onto their attackers, without his augments he would’ve hurt them bad. But now? Well, teeth and blood flew past him as he turned their faces to mulch in a matter of seconds.
But a cry dragged him back to reality as Baby girl rolled onto her side with an arm stretched out to him in desperation as she sobbed, black gunk spilling out of her mouth as she looked at him with pleading eyes. Sweet Jirak, what was he gonna do?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
“When’s she gonna be here Mikey?” Frank snarled as he pulled his girl closer, rocking her and gently petting her hair as she spasmed in his arms, weeping uncontrollably as the black ooze continued to froth out of her mouth. Honestly this was the most terrified he had been since he was a young child and seeing his mate like this was breaking his heart. “She’ll be here as fast as she can Frank ok? I literally texted her two minutes ago!” Mikey snapped back as he flicked through his phone again in desperate hope that Dejah had texted him, but there was nothing.
Rrollo poked his head back inside “No sign of anyone comin’ Frank” the usually smiley orc muttered as he looked Frank and Baby Girl over with a great degree of concern. “Yeah Rrollo, I got-“ Frank looked down with terror on his face. Oh this situation was fucked up in every sense of the way and it didn’t look like it was going to be getting any better anytime soon. Baby girl had stopped moving, she was entirely limp and barely breathing “Baby? Baby?!” Frank wailed as he shook her gently. But there was no movement and he breathing was getting shallower.
“Uh, Frank….” Came Rrollos shaky voice from the window “Not the time Rrollo! Just keep look out!” Frank bit at Rrollo as he tipped baby girl forward to try and help her cough up that black gunk “Frank!” Rrollo roared in panic “What R-“ Frank stopped as he saw the predicament Rrollo was in, a cloud of black mist surrounding him with a sword at his throat “What the fuck?! Let him go!” Frank roared, tucking Baby Girl close as he readied himself for a fight. “Frank no! The Dejah’s m-“ Mikey was cut off by a sudden blast of light which knocked back all in the room with the sheer force of the neon light.
Just as quickly as it appeared it was gone, leaving a small hooded orc female in its wake “Sweet Jirak I’m so sorry I’m late guys! I ran into some HBE guys and I didn’t wanna lead them to you! Don’t worry, once my mom gets here she’ll- MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! LET HIM GO!” Dejah wailed mid conversation as she turned around to see the situation at the window, stomping over like a petulant child. As soon as she grabbed a hold of Rrollo’s arm the black mist disappeared and the knife was withdrawn into the darkness of the night “Rrollo I’m so sorry! Are you ok?” Dejah apologised profusely as she pulled him inside, quickly looking him over for wounds that her mother may have inflicted “That’s your mom?! How is that your mom?!” Rrollo wailed in confusion as he fell straight on his ass as he looked at the group in front of him, his eyes as wide as dinnerplates.
Just as he said that, a large inky form slipped in through the window dressed head to toe in black leather. The form came to stand surprisingly tall in front of the 4 orcs, easily towering over the two teenagers, eyes piercing through them all beneath a massive plague doctor mask. “Babe….” Mikey whispered in concern, trying all the while to maintain eye contact with the giant black form “It’s ok, she’s here to help. She’s dealt with this stuff before. She can fix it.” Dejah spoke softly as she smiled up at the ominous form, who merely tilted her head to the side before walking over to Frank.
The large orc instinctively snarled and pulled his mate away from her, but Dejahs mother suddenly crouched in front of him and stared dead into his eyes, the tip of her mask pressed into his chin. They stared each other down for amount before a weak sob caught both their attentions, causing the woman to look down with enough speed that her mask cut Franks chin. Baby girl was deathly pale with black streaks darting across her skin as the pulsed manically, her eyes pleading with either of them to do something, anything to make the pain stop.
“Please help her…. We don’t know what to do.” Frank muttered painfully, his voice completely laced with pain and sadness. Glazed black eyes peered up at him before letting out a deep sigh as she shook her head and reached into her cloak. She rustled around for a few moments before pulling out a clear vial of liquid and shaking it for a few moments “Is it what we thought it was? Is it that Eden shit?” Dejah whispered from her perch beside Mikey, she was glowing softly as she looked over the situation in front of her.
A nod was all the response she got as her mother popped the cork on the vial and gently took hold of the sick girl face and tilting her head back and prying her mouth open “Hey, what the hell are you-“ Rrollo began but was shut up by a three way glare from Frank, Dejah and Dejah’s mom. After a few moments she turned back towards her patient and tipped the vial into her mouth before closing it and rubbing her thumb over the smaller females lips as she swallowed the liquid.
“Now what?” Mikey whispered to Dejah as he looked at the strange fucking situation in front of him “We just gotta wait for my moms powers to start workin’. Then Frank’s girlfriend should-“ Dejah all but launched herself and Mikey backwards as Baby Girl darted upwards, vomiting up a huge mass of writhing black goo onto the floor as she hacked and gasped for air, her fingers tearing at Franks skin in sheer terror in desperation “Baby?! Baby are you ok?” Frank practically wept as he brought her into a loose hug to ensure she still had space to breathe “What… What was that? What happened to me?!” She wept as she clung to Frank “Those guy’s who were after you…. They shot something into the air” Rrollo said softly as he scooted over to rub her exposed shoulder “We couldn’t get to ya in time….” Frank muttered bitterly, snuggling his head into her hair.
“It was a bio-weapon called Eden’s apple. It’s used to…. To subdue naturals. But my mom fixed you up!” Dejah chimed in, smiling sympathetically at Baby girl before looking to her mother for confirmation. “We need to get her out of here.” Came a wispy voice from beneath the mask as she grasped Baby Girls chin, turning her head to see if the black lines had disappeared. “Why, she’s better isn’t she?” Frank asked as he clung to girl “For now, I’ve never seen such direct exposure to the chemical. On top of that, I’m sure you’re not the stealthiest of groups. They may have followed you and if they have, they will use everything at their disposal to take her from you” She stated bluntly as she stood up and straightened out her coat “Well If she’s going I’m going with her” Frank retorted as he stood to tower over the woman “No, those without powers are not welcome. She will be safe there, I promise.” She stated as she stretched her arms out in a cradling motion.
Frank flinched away as a hand grabbed his arm gently “It’s ok Frank, my mom won’t let anything bad happen to her” Dejah reassured as she pulled the hood of her jacket up “You not going with her?” Mikey asked as he came up behind her with concern all over his face “No, I’m gonna run distractions. It means that if they try to go after her I can buy them some time, give them a chance to get away safely” She said boldly, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before turning and heading to the window “Its time, we have to go” Dejahs mother stated as she gestured once more towards Baby Girl “Alright… I’ll go.” Y/N stated, much to the shock of Frank and Rrollo who turned around to protest but were quickly stopped by the look on her face “Boy’s. I’m going. I’ll be fine, just you wait and see” She stated firmly before giving each of the giant orcs a kiss.
After a few short goodbyes she turned and walked towards the cloaked woman “I’m ready”. The woman merely nodded and scooped her up with ease, and with that the three women disappeared, neon lights darting to the left and black mist spewing to the right.
+++++++++++++++++
The sensation the flooded her body when she disappeared with the other woman was indescribable. It was like she stopped existing, like she has just become a ghost. Despite the fact that the scoured across walls and billboards and darted through the rain like a shadow, they touched nothing. She couldn’t feel a thing it was like she had gone entirely numb, he skin felt as cold as ice but at the same time feverishly hot. The same feeling you would get when you have a bad virus, it made her want to throw up.
What was making it worse was that they just kept travelling, it was like this woman never stopped as she threw herself impossible distances and ran straight up the side of the buildings, the degree of wild movements was making her feel incredibly nauseas.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
She darted bolt upright, a thick sheen of sweat covered her body “Where am I?” She muttered to herself as she glanced around the barren room. The walls where a dull grey colour with a few photo’s scattered about, pure black carpet covered below the bed and stretched a little further towards the door on top of a dull wooden floor. This wasn’t her place, and this definitely wasn’t franks place.
Slowly she slipped down off the bed and padded attentively across the room to inspect the photo’s from the wall. It was a tall well-built woman with her arm wrapped around a young orc with no tusks. Then it came back to her, the women from earlier, the ones who had saved her from whatever the hell had made her sick. She recognised the little orc, so logic would dictate that the woman was the creepy doctor.
Her heart dropped as a soft sound reached her ears, was someone crying? Her teachers instinct pushed her to act, she couldn’t stand by if someone was hurt or needed help! She walked over and cracked the heavy wooden door open very, very slowly. Good, no one was there.
She crept out of the room and down the hall. The house was eerily silent other then the sobbing that came from downstairs. A horrifying thought went thought her mind, what if it was the little orc? She had said she was going to go distract the HBE that were chasing her. What if she had been injured? Oh god’s she would feel terrible if that had happened! She quickened her pace as she went down the stairs towards the source of the noise, which in the silence of the house was eerily haunting. It was like a sound you would hear in a horror movie, just some distant crying down the hall’s, but then again that’s usually when the super creepy shit happens.
She reached the bottom of the staircase and was greeted by an array of rooms to venture into, god this was freaky as hell! She paused for a moment to listen to see if she could pinpoint where the crying came from, the last thing she needed was to get lost in this place.
Another deep sob wracked through the house, the left. It came from the left most room.
Slowly she tip-toed through the hallways until she came to a massive room with equally drab furniture, sitting in the middle surrounded by photo’s was the woman from the photo’s who was hunched over and sobbing.
For a moment she just sat and watched her as the woman whimpered and sobbed over the photos. Oh god’s, maybe she was right? Maybe something had happened to that poor little girl! Those awful people must have gotten to her! She was so caught up in her own thoughts she hadn’t realised, the crying had stopped.
“You can come out now….” Came a disembodied voice, not necessarily from the woman, it sounded as if it came from all around her and echoed through her mind “O-ok…” She whimpered as she crept towards the woman who was currently wiping her face. “I didn’t mean to spy, I was just-“Baby girl started but was cut off as the woman stood up, crap she forgot how tall she was “It’s all right, you did no harm.” She stated bluntly as she started to file away the photo’s in her arms “What… What where you doing if you don’t mind me asking?” Baby girl asked tentatively as she walked forward, grabbing one of the few stray photo’s on the ground which was of a much younger version of the little orc and the woman. “I was refilling some vial’s” The lady stated, patting her back pocket which tinkled softly.
“With what? I don’t see anything-“ She was cut off as the woman drew a line down from the corner of her eye to her cheek “O-oh, I see…” Baby girl muttered in slight disgust and confusion “Yeah, its easier to do when I have some… incentive.” She said as she waggled the photo’s in the air “You feel better?” She asked as she reached forward and snatched the photo from baby girl hand “Oh! Yeah I am, I guess I have you to thank, uh?” Baby girl came to the sudden realisation that she had no idea who she was speaking to “Call me Mel, most people do” Mel stated as she turned and headed to a dresser and quickly threw the photo’s into a drawer “Oh, only most people?” Baby girl asked curiously as she followed the woman “Those who hate anomalies like myself and my daughter call me by a different name…. They call me Plague.” Mel stated casting a cruel smirk over her shoulder, clearly shocking the smaller woman. “Oh I… I see” She muttered as she slightly curled in on herself.
The dark chuckle that Mel let loose made the smaller woman flinch “You haven’t been around many anomalies have you hun?” She asked with a smirk as she crossed her arms “No, I haven’t. I taught a kid who was an anomaly, but one day he never came to class. After that I-“ “Let me guess, you never saw him again?” Mel asked bitterly as she stalked over to the younger woman “Yes, how did you-“ she was cut off once more by the embittered woman in front of her “It happens to our children, the first sign of them getting powers, no matter what kind. They are taken and then they’re ‘cleansed’. If they’re survive they’re practically a vegetable. The lucky ones are the 40% that die during the process” she muttered in a sad, bitter tone as she looked straight through Baby girl.
“Oh gods, that’s terrible! Why would they do that?!” She wailed as tears prickled at the corner of her eyes, the thought that that may have happened to one of her students right under her nose…. It broke her heart. The larger woman merely sighed and walked past her “Because, we’re a glitch in the DNA code. In all rights we shouldn’t be here, and yet here we are…” She muttered before started to laugh cynically “What are you laughing at? What’s so funny?” Baby girl asked in confusion “It’s just funny, the reason they need people like you, is to kill people like me. To take our genome entirely out of the species, all species.” She turned to Baby Girl and smiled “You would be our extermination.” She said softly, as she ran her hand over the nervous smaller woman’s cheeks.
“I don’t want that, I would never want that! What they’re doing is wrong! You exist! You’re here! You deserve to be alive! I’ll help you if I can!” Baby girl exclaimed suddenly, tears streaming from the corner of her eyes and fist balled tightly “You have no powers, they would kill you in moments.” Mel stated nonchalantly. “I don’t care. I’m a teacher, my job is to protect kids. And right now these guys are making that very, very hard!” She bit back with a frown.
Mel chuckled and shook her head, leading Baby girl towards the front door of the house “Well we better get started…” She chimed before throwing open the front door, revealing the rest of the massive underground complex they were in “Welcome to the resistant hun” Mel said with a smirk as she let Baby girl take in the massive amounts of people all around her. This was going to be a hell of a job.
Baby girl, Rrollo and Frank ALL belong to the lovely @bonnietakesnosh-t thanks for the inspiration babe!
Grey snarled as he sat in his house, staring into his mirror. That poor fucking kid. He didn’t need to see that, he shouldn’t have seen that. Dorghu could have chose anyone else but he chose fucking Rrollo? The kid was tearing himself apart, it wasn’t even subtle, the kid was in pain.
Grey was fucking furious. He saw Rrollo as a younger brother and to see the kid like that made him want to start ripping tusks out, but damn who was he gonna do it to? He couldn’t go for Dorghu, not at this stage. Not again. But damn he had to do something. He was trying to think of some way to make this better. Groaning he threw himself back on the couch staring up at the ceiling. This was just pure shit. Jirak help him this was bad. As his drag his hands over his face in defeat he felt a weight slam against his abdomen, causing a sharp pain to shoot through him. Groaning in defeat he pulled his hand’s back from his face to glare down at the large golden eyes which stared back at his own ‘What do you want?’ he asked with a monotone voice. His reply was a whine as a wet nose nudged his stomach ‘What Zang? We ain’t goin’ on another walk big guy, it 11 fucking 30 at night man.’ He stated angrily, tapping the offending nose a few time’s.
If a dog could look offended, Zangief would have been the definition of it. Pulling his face back and padded back a few paces before lowering his head, a deep boof rumbling forth as he stared at Grey ‘Don’t you fuckin’ dare Zang’ Grey stated, raising a finger to point at the massive dog at his side as he did his best to look assertive. His dog did not care as he slammed his forepaws down onto the floor, butt in the air with his stumpy tail waggling back and forth. ‘Zang’ Grey snarled as he sat bolt upright, pointing at his hound as he snarled, showing off his own tusks and teeth. But this meant nothing to the massive hound. Who padded back further before launching himself forward onto his owner who roared in anger as he and the couch where toppled under the massive dog momentum.
Grey grumbled in his truck as he stared at the wheel in front of him. Jiraks’ balls, he hoped this was gonna work correctly, turning and grabbing the list he had compiled of the thing’s Frank had mentioned that Rrollo liked which he then drafted into what he could do. If this went wrong, he would never hear the end of this.
Inhaling deeply, he slammed his fist on the dash. He could fuckin do this. He had done it for his little brother’s he could do it for the kid.
Rolling his shoulders, he dropped out of the truck and stalked towards the apartment building, as he was going up the stairs he kept going over what he was gonna say to the kid, he didn’t wanna sound demeaning, but damn he knew the kid needed a break. Slamming his fist on the door of Rrollo’s apartment a few times. Waiting calmly as he heard the patter of feet on the other side of the door, swearing coming from the other side. Grey struggled to supress a laugh as he was greeted by the younger orc who was in his signature Rrollocoaster shirt and Jirak Pyjama pants with matching slipper’s and a shocked look plastered on his face ‘Bad time kiddo?’ Grey said with a slight smirk, gesturing to the kids’ getup ‘Grey? Man you’re the last person I expected at my door man!’ The kid said as he leaned against the frame of the door ‘Sorry kid, I was in the neighbourhood, so I figured I’d call in’ Grey stated plainly, as if he had no ulterior motive.
Snorting slightly, he gestured behind himself ‘If it’s not a good time I can go’ he added, he didn’t want to put pressure on the kid after what he’s been through ‘Nah man, c’mon in!’ Rrollo said as he moved to the side, gesturing for the older orc to come in.
Grey had to stop himself from bursting into laughter. This place was definitely Rrollo’s all right. The place stunk of sour candy and take out. A rat was curled up on the couch with a bunch of cheerio’s scattered around it, a few crumbs fell to the floor which was devoured by a dinged-up Roomba with googley eyes stuck on it. Smirking and shaking his head as he stalked forward into the apartment, jumping back slightly as a furry ball darted across the floor in front of him ‘Is that a fuckin possum?!’ Grey all but screeched, struggling to keep his voice at it’s usual deep octave. ‘Sorry man! Sour Patch isn’t used to stranger’s yet! She get’s scared!’ Rrollo apologised as he ran forward, scooping the possum up in his arm’s as he scratched its head soothingly. Grey swore that fucking thing was glaring at him. ‘So what’s up man?’ Rrollo asked, his head cocked to the side as he continued to scratch the possum’s head. The question pulled Grey out of his glaring match with the possum as he brought his eyes up to meet Rrollo. ‘So Frank told me you were good at drawing…’ Grey lowered his head and scratched the back of his neck as he started to pace as he saw the look of confusion on the kid’s face ‘I figured you could give me a hand at the shop? You know doing the bodies on the car’s…Maybe putting a few decals on? Stuff like that.’ He muttered as he avoided the younger orc’s eyes. Fuck this was embarrassing.
The silence was deafening. The younger orc just stared at him for a brief moment as Grey did his best to avoid looking at the kid. ‘Fo’ real?’ Rrollo muttered as he gently placing Sour Patch on the couch as he walked over to stand by Grey ‘Yeah man, wouldn’t trust anyone else. Unless Frank lied to me?’ He questioned with a teasing tone, it was a millisecond before a signature smile made its way onto Rrollo’s face ‘Nah man! Gimme a sec and I’ll get ready!’ Rrollo announced as he ran into his room to get changed.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Grey had never been gladder to get out of an apartment as he was when he got out of Rrollo’s. That fucking possum looked like it wanted to steal Grey’s fucking soul. But as Grey turned to his side to see Rrollo happily munching on some sour candies in the passenger’s seat. The kid already looked happier. Good, this was the improvement he wanted to see. As he pulled into the shop a deep Boofing noise greeted them both ‘Is dat whampase?’ Rrollo asked with a mouth full of sour candies earning a chuckle from Grey ‘Rampage is his working name man, call him Zangief or Zang’ Grey stated as he put the car into park, but as he looked over and spotted Rrollo’s confused look he couldn’t help but smile ‘Man the last thing I need is for him to start trying to work when he’s at the shop, the last thing I need is him tearing up the car’s cuz he’s in a mood’. He stated as he slapped the younger orc on the shoulder as he stepped out of the truck.
Both orc’s feet had barely hit the ground before clattering noises and thundering paw steps came barrelling towards them, poor Rrollo didn’t even have a chance to brace himself before he was tackled to the ground by the massive hound, standing on top of him and licking the younger orc until he was practically drenched in drool, despite the younger orc’s weak protests as he shoved at the massive dog. Shaking his head and chuckling Grey ‘Zang. Come.’ Grey ordered, patting his thigh a few times to summon the big dog over to him, who happily trotted over to him, tail waggling so hard that his entire butt was shaking. His ears perked up as he turned to see Rrollo pulling himself up and wiping the dribble off of himself with a smile plastered on his face. Smiling, Grey gestured for the younger orc to come in ‘C’mon kid! You’re here to work not to play!’ But in all honesty Grey couldn’t bring himself to be too hard, he was just happy to see the kid smiling.
Grey had to admit, Frank was right when he said the kid was creative. Admittedly the kid’s choices in design’s where…. Unusual. But they still looked good. And the kid was enjoying himself as he sprayed on the designs onto the car’s. Admittedly having some difficulty due to Zangief constantly trying to steal the paint can off of him. Now was no different as Grey was under an old Impala he could see Rrollo with Zang in a headlock ‘Give. It. Back. Zang. You son of a bitch.’ He heard snarled out of gritted teeth which was mimicked by a ferocious snarl from Zang who had a spray hose in his teeth. ‘Greeey!’ He heard Rrollo whine from the other side ‘I’ve told you kid! Bite ‘im on the ear! It’ll show him who’s boss!’ Grey called back as he scooted under the car to poke his head out the other side to see Rrollo pouting as Zang wiggled his tail in victory.
Smiling gently Grey pulled himself out from under the car, Grey stomped over in front of the pair, putting his hand out in front of him ‘Drop’ A long whine was his reply as Zang tried to duck his head down to hide himself ‘Drop’ Grey reiterated with a deeper tone as he stared the dog down, the hound eventually relenting and dropping the hose, only to turn around and begin assaulting Rrollo with more slobbery kisses. Grey allowed a short laugh to pass his lips ‘He likes you kid, that’s a good sign’ he muttered as he leant against the car ‘Whazzat supposed to me?’ The kid questioned between the slobbers, Grey couldn’t help but beam at him ‘That dog is one of the best judges of character I know of, so it’s good if he likes you-‘He stopped briefly as he clapped a hand on the younger orcs’ shoulder ‘it mean’s you’re trustworthy’. He said with a smile as he suddenly hooked his arm around the kids and hauled him to his feet ‘C’mon. Grub’s on.’ He stated as he pulled the kid along in door’s.
The rest of the day went rather smoothly, he had made them an old orcish soup which was good for muscle building and tasted damn good. At least by his standard’s. However, whilst the kid didn’t turn his nose up at it, the clear reddening of his face meant that their taste in spice was vastly different, chuckling Grey unloaded a fuck tonne of cheese onto the soup which seemed to help.
As well as that he cracked open a bunch a 6 pack for the younger orc to work his way through. Grey was glad to see the kid happy, even if he was arguing with Zang, who was currently doing his best to steal the soup out of the kid’s bowl. After some finishing the food and watching some wrestling he noticed something was still wrong with the kid. Fuck. Everything he had done hadn’t helped……. Sighing, he turned to Rrollo who was watching the tv quietly ‘Rrollo, listen- ‘He began ‘I don’t wanna talk about it man, I really don’t wanna talk about it’ Rrollo stated shortly which took Grey by surprise, but he nodded in understanding and settled back to watch the last of the wrestling.
Grey pulled his truck up in front of Rrollo’s apartment, he turned to see the younger orc patting Zang who was in the back seat, panting happily as he licked Rrollo’s hand, Grey coughed to gain the kids’ attention ‘Sorry kid, this is as far as I go because I do not want to piss off the possum of yours. I’m pretty sure she wants me dead’. Grey stated with genuine worry in his voice which made Rrollo laugh heartily as he pointed at Grey ‘You. Are scared of her?’ he said as he gestured to his apartment ‘She want’s me dead man.’ Grey repeated with more force. The snorting laugh Rrollo released did not help Grey’s pride as he huffed in the drivers’ seat for a few minutes. However, when Rrollo didn’t stop laughing Grey drew the line ‘Right you. Out’ He commanded as he pointed towards the apartment Rrollo kept laughing as he slapped Grey on the shoulder, turning and patting Zangief on the head before getting out of the truck. As Grey went to pull off a hand thumped on the side of the truck, turning he saw Rrollo peering in at him ‘Hey Grey? Thanks man…’ Rrollo said softly as he thumped the side of the truck once more, nodding Grey waved his hand at him ‘Anytime kid’ He stated as he pulled away, watching Rrollo head into his apartment as he drove off. He was a good kid.
This was done for the lovely @bonnietakesnosh-t who owns the lovely orcs Rrollo and Frank and the beautiful Baby Jirak!
It had been over a month since he had seen his son, Mikey and Dejah had gone away on a trip for their anniversary, somewhere over in Europe, he was pretty sure it was Poland. He had received a few text’s here and there to ensure they were both alive, but other than that there was no other communication. Until yesterday.
Mikey had text him out of the blue, saying that they would be getting home that night and that Mikey needed to talk to him urgently. Dorghu readied himself for any possibility. The worst one he could think of was that Mikey has either killed someone or he’s gotten himself involved with some shit whilst over there. Dorghu knew how to get rid of bodies and get the police of their case. He could hide Mikey and Dejah until it blew over. His ears picked up the sound of a truck pulling up outside, peering out the window he spotted Mikey getting out of the truck, talking to who he could only assume was Dejah, who was staying in the car. Fuck. This couldn’t be good if he was making her stay in the car.
Dorghu waited for his son to climb the stairs of the apartment block, until he heard the tell-tale footsteps outside his door and the loud thump on the wood. ‘C’mon in!’ He bellowed as he reclined back on his sofa as he watched his son peer round the door as he opened it, a small smile etched on his face. Dorghu rose to meet his son as he came in, pulling him to a rough hug, slapping him on the back a few times, with Mikey mimicking the action. ‘How are you?’ Dorghu asked, cocking his head to the side as he lead Mikey over to couch, putting a little bit of pressure on Mikey’s shoulder to encourage the boy to sit.
Mikey followed his father’s encouragement and sat down, joining his hands together, tapping his thumb’s together nervously. ‘I’m fine, the holiday was good…’Mikey said softly, his tongue tracing the back of his tusk, it was nervous tick he had since he was a kid, something had Mikey on edge, even his scent was off. Dorghu leant forward, clapping his hand on his son’s shoulder ‘What’s the matter son’. Dorghu’s tone was serious as he stared at his son, waiting for whatever this was that was eating at the kid to come to a head. Sighing, Mikey looked his father in the eye’s, serious look etching itself on his face. The boy opened his mouth to speak only to be interrupted by a knock on the door, sighing Mikey stood up ‘I’ll get that, it’s probably D…’he muttered as he stalked over to the door. This was fucking weird. Mikey didn’t act like this.
Mikey walked back in, Dejah following him. Dorghu rose to greet her when her scent hit him like a truck, physically steadying himself with the arm of the couch, he stared at them both, observing the fear in both their eye’s. Dorghu stood and stalked towards his daughter-in-law, eyes burrowing through her. Mikey stepped in front of her slightly as she shifted under Dorghu’s gaze, but she placed her hand gently on Mikey’s shoulder, their eye’s meeting briefly before Mikey moved back to his original place, allowing his father to move in front of her ‘How long?’ he said breathlessly as he placed his hand behind her head, bumping their foreheads together gently ‘About 2 week’s’ she said softly, a smile gently etching itself onto her face, he allowed a smile to creep onto his face as he saw Dejah turn to Mikey, who placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, resting his head on her shoulder. ‘Why were you worried?’ Dorghu pulled his head back to gaze at Mikey, who frowned back at him ‘I wasn’t sure how you’d react’ Dorghu snorted, he knew what Mikey was getting at, the boy wouldn’t be at as many Fogteeth parties or be doing as much gang stuff over the next few months, but Dorghu would take care of that, no one would challenge him on this. He would make sure of it.
Over the next few months the clan rallied around Mikey and Dejah, as was accustomed in orcish clan’s when a Doe was pregnant. All of the females of the clan fussed over her, giving as many tips and hints about what she could do during the pregnancy, then came the questions about how she felt, what her symptoms were, all to try and see what she was having. However, if it ever got too much for her the other Doe’s were seen off, not by Dorghu, although he could have done so with ease, no it was Mel who would see them off like any typical orc mother, easily shooing them away from her daughter whenever it became too much.
The men however essentially became her walking bodyguard’s. It was natural when they caught the scent of a pregnant female to start trying to protect her. At the few parties she went to she was surrounded by the Fogteeth boy’s. Grey was more protective than usual, almost always a few feet away at parties, making sure to keep anyone not clan as far away from her as possible.
It happened. It was at a Fogteeth party, they were in the back room, Dejah was about 6 months gone at this point, Mikey had gone to the bar to get her another soda before they headed home. Dorghu kept his eye on Dejah as she sat in the comfiest chair they had as one of the other Does talked with chatted with her. As he spotted Dejah get up, excusing herself from her conversation with the other Doe as she got up and headed towards the door, the Fogteeth boy’s parting to let her pass. As she headed out he turned his head back to the fine little doe sitting next to him, smirking as he pulled her in close for a rough kiss. However it was brief as he heard a scream and pulled himself away from the Doe as the others started to run out of the room, Dorghu’s blood boiling as he heard his son shout.
It was only a moment before he came face to face with the situation the was unfurling. An ogre had a knife to Dejah’s throat as he held her close to him. Mikey was in front of him ‘Get the fuck away from her asshole!’ he bellowed, but the ogre never budged, pulling the knife closer to Dejah’s neck, tears rolling down her cheek’s in fear. The Fogteeth had the fucker surrounded, but one wrong move would get Dejah hurt, so everyone was just at a standstill. Dorghu stepped forward to stand shoulder to shoulder with his son, glaring down the ogre ‘Listen here fucker. Do you know who’s fucking party you crashed? Do you know who you are fucking with? I swear to fucking god. If you don’t let the girl go. I will rip your fucking tusks out, and shove them up your fucking ass.’ Dorghu snarled, gently placing his hand in front of his son to keep him from running forward’s. As the Ogre laughed and made the mistake of pointing the knife towards Dorghu who grabbed his hand and snapped it, giving Mikey the chance to grab Dejah and pull her away from him.
Snarling, Dorghu grabbed a hold of the ogre’s tusks and smashed their skulls together and while he was reeling Dorghu decked him. Turning to the others and nodding, they dragged the ogre out the back as Dorghu headed towards the back room to see his family. As he burst into the room Mikey naturally turned around in a fighting stance, calming down as he saw his father ‘If you want to get you hit’s in I suggest you do it now, the others are gonna fuck him up royally. Pretty sure I heard Mel mentioning castration.’ Mikey snorted softly while Dejah allowed herself a shaky laugh ‘That sound’s like Mel all right….’ Mikey looked at her frowning softly ‘Go, I’ll be fine’ She assured him, bumping their foreheads together. Mikey nodded and walked towards the door, Dorghu patter him on the shoulder ‘It’s ok son, I’ll keep and eye on her’ Mikey nodded and snarled as he headed out the door.
Dorghu turned his attention to Dejah, she was shaking as another Doe gave her a glass of water ‘Leave’ he snapped, the Doe scrambling past him to leave him alone with his daughter-in -law. He looked her over before walking over to her and gently placing his hand on her shoulder ‘You ok?’ he said softly, he could feel her shaking underneath his grasp, instinctively he pulled her close and hugged her, tucking her head under his chin, rumbling deeply as he muttered in orcish. Breathing deeply, he kept her like that until the shaking slowed, he rubbed her back gently until he felt her flinch, pulling back he looked down at her in concern ‘It’s just the baby, they’re kicking really hard lately’ she muttered softly, laying her hands on her stomach. Dorghu smiled, allowing a soft chuckle to rumble through him ‘Would you like to…’ She paused and looked up at him, Dorghu cocked his head to the side slightly in confusion ‘Would you like to feel them kicking?’ she reiterated, gesturing to her bump.
Dorghu couldn’t help but blink, slightly taken aback by the offer. He reached his hand out hesitantly, he was so much bigger than Dejah and a lot heavier, he didn’t want to hurt her, and he especially didn’t want to hurt his grandchild. His hand just hovered there for a moment before her hands came out softly and held his before pulling it gently towards her stomach and laying it gently atop it before moving it slightly to the left. ‘Keep your hand there for a second.’ She ordered gently, letting go of his hand as she reached for her drink. Dorghu did as he was told, feeling the gentle rise and fall of her breath. Then it happened, a little kick thumped beneath his palm. Inhaling quickly, he turned around and saw Dejah drinking her cold water, as she caught his eye she smiled, the kick’s fluttering more quickly now. A smile crept onto his face before he bust into laughter, the little shit was kicking up a storm, just like Mikey had done before he was born. Pausing he turned to Dejah who was just sitting smiling at him ‘We got a trouble maker on our hands with this one, I can sense it.’
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Dorghu had the clan all arranged, everything had to be perfect. The tables were set, everyone had arrived, and the Shaman’s and High priestess had gathered. It had been 48 hours since his grandchild had been born and orcish tradition meant that all he could know was that the baby had been born healthy and was going to be brought home today. They would be announced to the clan and named today, for everyone to witness.
The truck pulled up outside and everyone stilled. Dorghu nodded to the boys at the door, who dragged them open to reveal Mikey and an extremely tired looking Dejah walking forward, a tiny bundle cradled in her arms. The new-borns scent filled the room as their parent’s walked through the crowd towards the grandparent’s. Mel and Dorghu stood shoulder to shoulder as the new parents stood before them. Mel instinctively wrapped her arms around Mikey, pulling him into a hug, releasing him gently before doing the same to Dejah, making sure to go around the side of her to ensure she didn’t harm the baby. Next was Dorghu who pulled both towards him and gripped their head’s against his, the babies scent filled his nostril’s and he couldn’t help but smile, he had a granddaughter. Standing back, he allowed them to walk past him and stand in front of the shaman’s.
The high priestess parted through them, standing in front of Mikey and Dejah, her hands in the air ‘Who do you bring before us?’ she spoke Bodzvokhan, silence fell as Mikey and Dejah look at each other briefly, pressing their forehead’s together ‘We bring you Nevari, Daughter of Mike and Dejah’ They announced in unison as the drum’s thrummed loudly ‘Is she a child of the Fogtooth clan?’ The priestess questioned. Mel and Dorghu raised their bloodied hands in unison ‘She is!’ they bellowed in defiance as the drums began to pick up their pace, rousing the baby as she began to whimper loudly. The Priestess brought her hands together as one of the shaman’s brought over a skull, hollowed out and filled with blood ‘Nevari. The blood of the clan unites us all, the clan is the beating heart of all orc’s. Just as the blood of your parent’s binds you to them…’ she paused and dipped her fingers into the blood, dragging them down the new-born’s face ‘So shall the blood of the clan tie you to us, you are Fogtooth now. Serve your clan. Protect your clan.’ She pulled away from the baby, and raised her hands into the air ‘Do you accept Nevari as part of your clan?’ All in the room raised their bloodied hand’s and roared at the top of their lung’s ‘Will you teach her our ways? Will you make her strong and defiant? Will you make her worthy of Jirak’s name?’ She questioned as the drum’s reached their apex, the clan roaring even louder, feet stamping, and walls being pounded ‘Rise! Nevari! Of clan Fogtooth!’ she proclaimed, throwing her hands into the air as both Mikey and Dejah raised their daughter into the air for everyone to see her.
Dejah chuckled as she smiled at the toy that she had in her ‘Thank you Rrollo! It’s lovely, I’m sure she’ll love it’ She said cheerily, waving the Jirak plush in front of her daughter who babbled incoherently, tiny hand’s waving in front of her, one clasping onto the plush toys’ ear ‘Daww! You’re welcome kid, I’m glad the little lady likes it!’ Rrollo said happily, wiggling his finger in front of Nevari who instinctively reached her little hand out and grabbed his finger tightly, much to Rrollo’s delight, however Frank clapped his hand on his shoulder and gestured for them to move and Dorghu approached, as Rrollo retracted his finger from the baby’s grasp Dejah turned to Frank, gently taking hold of his arm and speaking in a low voice ‘Frank, I can’t thank you enough for the toy chest, its beautiful…’ She said with a smile on her face as she gently squeezed his arm. Frank’s façade broke for the briefest of seconds as he smiled at her, genuinely smiled at her, which made Dejah massively happy, however the nervous look on Franks face made its appearance again as Nevari reached out towards him, babbling away as she did so ‘Umm’ Frank muttered nervously, much to Dejah’s amusement ‘Don’t worry Frank, I know the deal’ She said calmly as she winked and shifted her daughter to the arm that was furthest away from Frank, who smiled and clapped his hand on her shoulder briefly before walking off towards Rrollo to avoid encountering Dorghu.
Dorghu stalked over to Dejah and his granddaughter, snarling lowly and he spotted Frank and Rrollo disappearing through the crowd, however it quickly disappeared as Dejah turned to face him with the little one now gently resting her head in the crook of her neck ‘Hey, how’s it goin’?’ she asked tiredly, a yawn forming on her lips, Dorghu smirked and shook his head ‘I’m fine. It’s me who should be asking you that, you look exhausted, you wanna sit down?’ He said, gesturing to the room further to the back, away from the main party. Nodding he put his arm around his daughter-in-law as he helped guide her through the crowd and into the backroom.
As she sat down and cradled the baby in her arms, the other Does briefly fussing over her before the caught Dorghu’s eye and walked out of the room, clearly taking the hint. After a few moments of silence Dejah cut the tension ‘Would you like to hold her?’ She asked cautiously, rocking her daughter back and forth as she stared up at him. Dorghu considered it for a moment, she was so small and delicate, the thought of harm coming to her made his blood boil. But he steeled himself as he walked over to seat himself beside her. She smiled at him as she held Nevari out to him, he picked her up gently, making sure to support the little ones’ head, huge golden eyes peering up at him. He chuffed at himself, he remembered how to do this, he wasn’t so out of practice. Adjusting her so that she was closer to his face, so he could nuzzle against her, rewarding him with a few happy babble’s. Humming happily as he pulled back, her tiny hands grabbing his tusk’s in her tiny hand’s, blowing tiny spit bubbles as she stared at him intently. He couldn’t believe the beautiful baby in front of him. She had the most beautiful marking’s, crescents around her cheeks , smatterings of paleness around her lips with her eye marking’s looking almost exactly the same as Mikey’s ‘Aren’t you just gorgeous little lady?’ He mutters softly to her; a tiny hand smacked his nose in response ‘Heh. You’re gonna be a trouble maker, aren’t you? You’re going to run this damn clan when you’re big aren’t you?’ He hummed softly, brushing his nose against of her neck, inhaling the little ones’ scent. He would make sure she grew up to be the fucking queen of this clan. And Jirak help anyone who tried to stop him of it.
Rrollo and Frank belond to @bonnietakesnosh-t Thanks again for letting me use them!
The sun was dying slightly, but in the peak of summer the heat clung to the city like a blanket, everything reeked of sweat and tarmac. This time of the year was dangerous, the heat made most people irritable at the best of time’s. When it came to the orc’s however, it got worse. Pissed off humans clashing with pissed off orc’s who was clash with just about anyone else that got in their way.
Groaning in his truck Grey through his head back against the headrest, running his hands over his face. Fuck. It felt lie it was gonna be one of those days. He could feel it. He’d been in the business long enough to know when something was gonna go down and fuck he’d be damned if this wasn’t one of those day’s. Snarling, he threw himself forwards slightly, slapping his face roughly and roaring. Time to fucking go. He through the door of his truck open and hopped out his truck, pulling his white t-shirt off and throwing it into the passenger’s seat. It was covered in oil and engine fluid, Dorghu would kick hiss ass if he turned up stinking of that shit again. Wasn’t his fuckin fault he had to come over straight from the shop.
Ear’s twitching at the noise behind him, his nose caught who it was before he even had shot a look over his shoulder. Fucking humans. They had stopped to look at him, shooting him glares then going back the chatting amongst themselves. He waited for one of them to glance back up at him before showing them his best snarl, eyes narrowing as he stared them down with ease. Humans liked to think they were the big dog’s but as soon as you confront them directly, they buckle twig’s. It only took a moment after the humans noticed him glaring for them to shut their faces and move on down the street, his eyes following them until they rounded a corner. He waited for a few moment’s before letting a laugh rumble through him, he loved doing that. Putting the weak into their place and protecting clan was what he lived for.
Snorting he opened the back of his truck, reaching in and grabbing the first shirt he could find he glanced down at it, allowing a smile to grace his lips. It was Rrollo’s shirt, about two weeks ago there had been a fight at the club, Rrollo and his buddy were in the middle of it as usual, but the kids shirt wasn’t as he was and ended up covered in blood and beer. It wouldn’t have been too bad had he not set his sights on a conquest for that night, so Grey had relented and given him one of his own shirt’s from the truck. It wasn’t one that would have really been of Rrollo’s tastes, but it did the job as he left with his lady.
He shook his head softly and threw the shirt back in the truck, he would have to get it washed before he gave it back to the kid, for sure he didn’t know how to get blood out of things correctly. He grabbed his jersey from beneath the pile of clothes and pulled it on before pulling his chain around his neck. Rolling his neck and shoulders, he huffed deeply. It was time to get to work.
He turned and headed towards the club, nodding to the other Fogteeth members as he strolled into the club. It was already starting to get packed, but the others knew to keep out of his way, to those who didn’t know him, his height and demeanour kept them back. At 6’6 and a snarl on his face caused most to back off, those that didn’t backed off when confronted, they knew his rep, they knew what he’d done in his years in the gang, they didn’t want that done on them and honestly he didn’t blame them.
The gig was going strong, the music thumping loudly, strong enough that he could feel the bass hitting his chest. Grey towered over the writhing crowd, keeping his eye on everything around him. He spotted the pair of troublemakers that were Rrollo and Frank across the room. He and frank shared a brief nod before Rrollo caught his attention, the boy may have had his arm around a fine young thing, but it didn’t stop him for grinning over, raising his beer to him briefly, Grey returned the gesture as the boy returned to his lady. Grey may not have been the most sociable orc but he knew those two, they were good kid’s. Ass kicker’s. But good guy’s. Rrollo had heart, but he couldn’t help but worry about Frank, he saw his younger self in that kid, and that was not a good thing. He had been stabbed, shot, had his leg broken you name it. He hoped the kid was better than him.
His attention was drawn when a flash of purple zoomed up towards him he glanced down, he knew the scent before she appeared. Dejah, the tiny no-tooth who was going out with the boss’ son. He smiled down at her as she hopped up and down below, bending down so he could hear her better ‘What’s up Knee high?’ he bellowed over the music, chuckling as he saw her smile at her nickname ‘Have you seen Mikey?! I can’t find him! He said he’d meet me at the front, but I can’t see him anywhere!’ she yelled at him, annoyance clear on her face. He chuckled as he shot her a glare ‘Oh, and you think I’ve seen him huh toot’s? Why’s that?’ he allowed a laugh to escape his lips when her foot connected with his shin ‘Just tell me where is ya big mountain!’ she demanded, arms crossed as she glowered at him, nodding softly he placed his hand on her shoulder, turning her slightly ‘He’s in the back! The boss needed him for something, head on over, should be ok by now!’ she nodded at him, playfully punching his arm, which he gently returned, not wanting to hurt the small orc. But before she headed off towards the back he spotted her waving someone over, he noticed her human friend carving her way through the crowd, he hadn’t spoken with her but he had heard from the others that she was essentially the no-tooth’s mother and was just as protective. She was tall for a human, easily craving her way through the crowd towards he tiny companion, she nodded briefly in his direction before Dejah grabbed her arm and dragged her across the floor towards the back room. His eyes followed them for a brief minute before turning back to his post. Damn she was tall for a human.
It was the height of the evening, he had eyes on Mikey and Dejah as they chatted at bar. The two weren’t known trouble maker’s and with Mikey being Dorghu’s son he had a degree of protection. It was Dejah who was the problem, being a No-tooth meant she was very likely to draw the wrong kind of attention to her, with her being Mikey’s girl meant that could easily start a brawl.
As soon as he saw Mikey squaring off with the Ogre he was off from his position, the boy was pulling his girl in behind him as he shoved the Ogre back as he tried to get them both out his direct line and towards the other members of the gang. As the ogre pulled back to hit the kid, Grey caught his arm and dragged him back away from the kids. He got some leverage and threw fucker, however his throw accidentally launched him into the mosh pit, scattering human and orc alike.
However, it wasn’t long before he was up on his feet, squaring up with Grey, the two of them tusk to tusk. This is why he was here, this was why his height was needed. He reeled back and clocked him in the jaw, throwing the ogre back slightly and giving him an opening to wail on him for a bit, but he didn’t see the foot that came out to bash him in the knee. He fell back, smashing his elbow on the ground. Fuck. That would hurt in the morning. The two of them crawled to their feet and squared off again, Grey managing to block the ogre’s punch, he went to sock ‘im in the jaw when the fucker went down on his right side with a roar. Grey blinked for a second before snarling and punching him right between the nose and the eye, knocking him out cold.
Panting, he looked up to see Dejahs’ human, hunched over the ogres’ leg. Shock took over him for the briefest of seconds as he saw her pulling a shoe out of the back of his leg, without thinking, resting her hand on Grey’s shoulder to slip her foot back into the heel. As she placed her foot back down, she straightened and smiled down at him, extending her hand forward’s ‘Hey tough guy, need a hand?’ she smiled down at him, Grey couldn’t help but blink, what kinda human was she?
(thanks to @bonnietakesnosh-t for letting me use Rrollo and Frank!)
