where’s your favorite place to read?
have you ever recommended a book that ruined someone else’s life? what was it?
oh my god so many, but the one that comes to mind rn is the mistborn trilogy by brandon sanderson, i literally recommend to everyone ever but recently one of my friends at college read it, and i quote: 'i've read one book and i think brandon sanderson's my new favourite author and it's ALL YOUR FAULT' i'm so proud
also valentina ruined my life with the darkest minds so in turn i have ruined many lives with the darkest minds
which book had the greatest impact on your life?
sorry to copy you brenda but definitely the book thief, i can honestly quote like 5 million passages word for word, it's the most beautiful and heartbreaking book i've ever read and godDAMN markus zusak
which author would you be thrilled to go out for coffee with?
alexandra bracken! she's so cute and so sweet when answering everyone on tumblr/those youtube videos, i think she's lovely please be my friend alex
what questions would you ask your favorite author given the chance?
brandon sanderson. how. why. did you have to.
which character can you relate to most?
probably mia thermopolis from the princess diaries series but that may be because i think she's the absolute coolest person ever and want to be her best friend - she's awkward and she cares about the world and michael moscovitz and my friend actually reminds me more of her than me but i can dream right
do you have a goodreads account?
yes! feel free to add me :)
never gotten into it, it's cool though
do you watch any booktubers?
no i've never really gotten into it? the only one i really know of is peruseproject who i think is pretty cool but yeah i don't watch her videos religiously or anything!

i'm in love with the kingkiller chronicle covers (the uk editions) i LOVE the cover for the wise man's fear but the slow regard of silent things is stunning too

if you had to switch lives with one book character, who would it be?
megan from the steelheart series. SHE IS SO COOL but also vivenna from warbreaker. or literally anyone from the stormlight archive - basically any of brandon sanderson's characters

i would love to be part of the black betty gang

not sure if it's the worst ever, but the one that comes to mind is the bronze horseman. just thinking about it makes me feel angry, uncomfortable, and regretful
preferred reading format— ebooks, physical books, or both?
i love love love owning lots of physical books but i read a lot more ebooks bc they're so much cheaper and easier to read, like, if i was going to give up one way of reading it wouldn't be my kindle hahah but definitely both :)
when is the best time to read a book (in your opinion)?
always. every time. when is it not a good time to read a book?
which books are at the top of your tbr list for 2015?
elantris by brandon sanderson (i've been saving it for ages bc it's the last big standalone brandon book i have to read </3), the rest of the locke lamora series (i JUST bought red seas under read skies) the miniaturist by jessie burton, the farseer trilogy by robin hobb... i honestly don't really have like a proper tbr or anything, i just pick books out randomly depending on how i feel i kind of just want to read more adult fantasy this year
which movie adaptations of a book were actually amazing and which made you cringe?
oh man i generally really hate movie adaptations :( i hated the mortal instruments, i think the book thief missed the whole heart of the book (WHERE WERE MY RUDY QUOTES. WHERE WERE MY MAX QUOTES. WHERE. WHY.) even if it was gorgeous and the casting was wonderful, percy jackson sucked. that said i really enjoyed if i stay, and i haven't watched gone girl yet but it looks pretty good from everything i've seen on here
what are your top 3 books of 2014?
but
how can i be expected to choose when i read the stormlight archives AND the kingkiller chronicle last year. i also can't remember if i finished the mistborn trilogy in 2014 or 2013 so we're just going to pretend it was 2013
okay right
words of radiance by brandon sanderson, the wise man's fear by patrick rothfuss, and i'll give you the sun by jandy nelson
i think
