Lunch Date || Georgia & Laney
@memorylaney;
When Georgia had days off from the horse ranch, she often took to walking around Bluebell and chatting with the neighbors, or hanging out in the mountains to play with the wild animals and catch a few critters. But for the days off that happened to fall on days Laney wasn’t working at the cafe? The blonde baker became Georgia’s top priority.
On those occasions, the two of them would often chat over a nice lunch at Howard’s Cafe, gossiping and catching up on different aspects of their respective lives. Sometimes Laney would even take her into the cafe’s kitchens and give a few cooking lessons, moments the rancher both appreciated and cherished, happy to spend whatever time she could with her best friend.
The older they got, the more distant they seemed to become, as they both had their own diverging paths in life. But even then, Georgia was intent on staying Laney’s best friend for life, so she would do whatever she could to keep their bond strong.
And what was a better bonding experience than sharing a home-cooked meal? Nothing, that’s what! Food made with love, heart and soul was the perfect thing to bring people together.
“Laneeeey~!” Georgia waves at the blonde as she approaches their meeting spot in Bluebell’s town square, a picnic basket in hand. “Hope you’re ready to eat, ‘cause I made a lot! I put lots of love in it too, just like ya taught me, so it’s sure to be delicious! Hehe.”
