"I would like to know," Nie Huaisang said calmly. "Why does my sect think I am marrying you two?” Wei Wuxian gave him a long searching look before he shrugged. “Misunderstandings were had.” “Misunderstandings you started.” “I’m not the one who fell asleep in the wrong bed!” Wei Wuxian shot back and then had to do a double take at the hints of a blush on Nie Huaisang’s face. “You could have said the truth! Hanguang-Jun, where were you while your husband got himself into a scandal!” Lan Wangji took another sip of his tea, undisturbed. “I had his back.” “You left me to fend for myself!” Wei Wuxian accused, a wide grin tearing at his lips. “I was at your back. I was holding you. Therefore, I had your back.” Lan Wangji nodded as if it made perfect sense even as his partner doubled down in laughter, mock-outrage forgotten.

Wanted to share something LWJ related for his bday, but all I could find was Mildly ConcerningTM or is not polished so have OT3 content.

Draft 2 of the torture nhs&wwx fic is doooone at 8k

No set posting date because posting is tiring and I have some more deadlines to meet and i have to let the draft rest for the 3rd editing, BUT have a snippet

The Wen man pulls Wei Wuxian’s — bruised, bloodied— hands towards a metal ring stuck on the ground in front of Nie Huaisang, and begins tying him to it, as you do. Nie Huaisang stares, and he stares, and dread makes itself home in his chest. “Let’s play a little game, Wei-xiong, Nie-xiong.”

Hanajima let him fumble, staring at him, unblinkingly. When he finally stopped, she nodded to herself, folding her hands on the table. “You are taking care of him.” Shigure’s smile grew strained. What was that supposed to mean? “He is a grown man, Hanajima-san. He doesn’t need anyone taking care of him. Why don’t we go look for Tohru-kun, hm? How about it?”

2. The many deaths of wwx

His next death comes in soul-deep hatred, and a bottomless cliff.

Wei Wuxian is held over the abyss, broken in body, shattered in soul, but the blood he laughs is boiling. He has died many deaths, but this one, although permanent, does not scare him.

Because he will rise. With a curse upon his lips, he lets all the festering anger of a dead child and an angry man pour out as he’s released, and he knows that even after he dies, he will forever live in Wen Chao’s darkest nightmares.

He doesn’t yet know his body will not yet break, that the Burial Mounds will welcome their future ruler with the softness of corpse flesh, and brittle bones.

Wei Wuxian dies in the Burial Mounds and yet, somehow, he lives.

He dies, and the untouched resentment earns a master.

Wei Wuxian dies, and the Yiling Patriarch lives.

Working on chapter 19 of Cage of the Dog! First draft has been finished, working out some kinks, fleshing out some scenes... Hopefully I should be able to post it on friday

“I’m trying, you bastard!” Shigure snapped back, voice rising above Ichigo’s growling. “That’s why I’m trying to break the curse! That’s why I cut off ties with Akito! Who are you to just waltz into my life and tell me I haven’t done enough? Who the fuck do you think you are?”

Ichigo’s eyes were gelid, the absence of his growling was deafening. “You’re the one who involved me in this shitshow that is your family. You’re the one who asked me to save your ass and lie. You’re the one who told me you wanted to protect the kids. So. Do. Better.” And then without looking back he walked into the forest, leaving him alone with his thoughts.
