Morning Somewhere put out a podcast on August 7th detailing the relaunch of the RT website. A summary of the relevant information:
The website is now fully open to the public. Everything from the Rooster Teeth archives should be back up and available, including most RvB content.
Rooster Teeth's community site and forums, that were started in 2004 and shut down in 2018, are now back up. All of the old profiles and posts are set to private by default. If you remember your log in credentials you can access all of your old profile and, if you'd like, make it public again.
The old comments sections are also back up and have new sorting capabilities.
The "First" model is gone. The "Sponsor" model is back.
They have been doing a lot of work on removing Red vs Blue from behind the paywall. The show will be available on both the RT site and on Youtube. They're still in the process of getting all of the seasons out, though what exactly that process entails is never clarified. As of August 10th, only seasons 1-14 are available to the public.
The individual episodes of each season are (or will be) available publicly, while the Complete series (the versions that condense the whole of a season into just 1-3 videos) are still going to be kept behind the Youtube memberships/RT site sponsorships. Note that the Complete mini-series have always stayed available publicly.
Not said on the podcast, but Restoration is not up on the site at all, not even for sponsors. It still can only be watched through external purchase.
As also said in their February 9th podcast, they are very certain of the stability of the future of RT and the availability of this content going forward. Archival has always been a major focus of their relaunch.
Israel planning to use crocodiles to guard Palestinian inmates – media
Israel has reportedly reclassified Nile crocodiles as “tended” animals, potentially enabling a controversial plan to use them to guard priso
From the news article:
"The controversial proposal to surround prisons with crocodile-filled moats was reportedly floated late last year by far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who argued the reptiles would strengthen security and deter escape attempts."
Is Dr. Evil now advising Israeli Security? This is just cartoonishly evil, Israel.
And why not sharks?
A Russian State media outlet, citing Russian law enforcement officials, reports that Ukrainian Armed Forces are planning to detonate a dirty nuclear bomb and the potential targets are storage sites at power plants. 🤔
I'm not sure if you heard the news yet but rooster teeth is getting shut down by Warner Bros and Warner Bros is trying to sell RWBY off to another company at the moment
I hope that the people working at rooster teeth are able to get jobs or have jobs that they can help tie them over till they find new work for a while
And maybe if we're lucky when it comes to RWBY some company will maybe pick them up this year and will possibly get volume 10 by the end of next year or the year after that we'll just have to wait and see I'm not sure if they're still doing RWBY beyond that they were planning to do to cover some stuff that was happening with long and I but I hope the future for this franchise gets better and that this isn't the end
Hi there anon-chan. Yes, I have heard the news about RT shutting down. Heard it as soon as it came out yesterday. I just don’t have much to comment on the matter since I’m still pretty much processing it.
Feel so bad Prime Minster Putin that the Russian national butchered by Saudi military musical band. My goodness it's unbearable.
Warining: it's cringe level is over 90000000
