Virginia comrades offering an account of the time they’ve spent building RTDC and discussing much of what else has been happening since. I have it on strong, personal evidence that these guys pretty much spend all of their free time going to bat for Richmond proletarians. Their work has great importance and it would be a good idea for all those in the location and interested in moving from the capitalist structure to communal reality to enroll.

Let us imagine, now, the place we could be if all that DSA energy went towards things like this — tenant unions or other associations for the working class; or pretty much anything else other than working for the Dems. We should be ever attentive to the obvious limits of democratic socialism in so far as parliamentarianism, reformism, and class independence from bourgeois political parties is concerned. The communist emphasis on class struggle and mass work, to build an organization of the working class with boots on the ground, is what will make a difference.
