one thing many people think about garf is that he is bonded to astrid the most, which makes some sense, but I feel the need to talk about heather too even though we don't see her interact with him after he grows up.

garf's own melodic call as a mature death song is from the lullaby heather sang to him. from the little death song lore we got, I think it's safe to assume that death songs 'inherit' their song from their parents/guardians, so having garf take heather's song specifically is meaningful imo

anyways i just really like garf
