Idk why but I can't help but keep thinking heather and hiccup would be good partners until astrid is finally brought into the loop. Of course this depends on how soon astrid is brought in and heathers parents are lost.

That and I love seeing astrid get jealous lol 😆 (I'm a firm believer that heather liked hiccup until she realised what was between him and astrid)

it’s difficult with a character originally introduced in a PG series for only two twenty minute episodes, whose original purpose was probably to give us jealous Astrid moments exactly like what we got. HOWEVER, they are in fact delicious. HOWEVER, there are other opportunities for jealous Astrid, and i don’t want to give Heather feelings for Hiccup just because she’s a pre-existing girl character his age. HOWEVER, Hiccup’s kind/charming/adorable/smart etc, and a hero who helped Heather even after her deception. BUT, that doesn’t mean she HAS to like him, it could be simply brother-sisterly. OR, it could have started romantic, and TURNED brother-sisterly

i turn it over in my head all the time and can hardly figure it out

i WILL say i remember thinking she was awwwfully flirty when she was first re-introduced in RTTE. like highkey she might’ve wanted that for a minute

Day 17 - Passing out

"Ouch ! Could you please be more gentle ?" Astrid grumbled with a glare at Heather who was treating her leg and the raven-haired young woman scowled at her in return.

"Well, I'm not the one who keep on blocking dragon root arrows with my legs !"

"What I was supposed to do ?! An arrow..."

"...was going to hit Stormfly I know." Heather finished mimicking Astrid and making the other young woman huffed. "Look Astrid. That excuse may have fly the first couple of times you used it. But this was the sixth one. That I know of !" Heather added in a tone of exasperation hoping it would finally drive the point into her friend's head. "With the way you are acting, one would think you were the one wearing some half sort of dragon-scales armour and not me."

To her surprise, her remark earned her a snort from Astrid.

"What ?"

"Don't ever say that in Hiccup's hearing."

"Say what ?" Heather asked genuinely confused.

"Dragon-scales armour. Otherwise, it may give him ideas and we'll be lucky if we even catch glimpses of him for the next few months."

"Oh I don't know. If its prevents you from doing being hurt stupidly like that again, I, for one, am all for it." Heather replied in a dry tone and Astrid rolled her eyes.

"Look Heather. I am fine ! And dragon-root doesn't affect humans anyway."

"That we know of !" Heather interjected, the anger at her friend's offhand attitude slipping through. "And it wouldn't be such a problem if you weren't keep being hit by them !"

This time it was Astrid who scowled at her friend.

True to be told, Astrid had been feeling a bit dizzy in the last few days but she had put it on the intense training regime she had pushed herself through.

Not that she was going to tell Heather any of it. She wasn't in the mood for 'I told you so' lecture.

"Are you done ?"

Heather gave her a scathing look as she finished wrapping the bandage around Astrid's leg before getting up and to start to make her way to leave without a word.

Astrid got up as well to follow her friend only for the room to spin before her eyes as a new wave of nausea hit her, much stronger this time.

She barely had the time to think that maybe she should have told Heather after all before she blacked out and crashed down to the floor.
